Very good product, bought two because I knew of it's reputation to make your instrument look like a polished diamond. Didn't have to press hard to dissolve the chemical, just a few little sprays on a clean cloth, give it a modest rub and WOW.

When I bought this I wanted to get rid of the thick coat of rosin dust from under my strings from years of buildup. Unfortunately, even after applying the product and rubbing at it for quite some time it still wouldn’t budge. However I decided to keep working at it and tried spraying quite a bit onto one spot on my cloth and then vigorously rubbed at one specific spot under my strings and noticed it got quite a bit better! I continued to do this for a week and eventually I got all the stubborn residue to come off. Before the entire area looked like the under-area of the fingerboard in the photo, and after continually polishing it I was able to get all the residue off! Rating 5 stars because even though it was hard to do it was able to get the job done, and this cleanup was probably beyond the standard scope of what the cleaner is intended to do. ... show more

Bought this for my well-used and long time friend. My violin was quite dirty and this did just the trick. Now the body is shining nicely and the ease of use of this spray urges me to clean more frequently. I really enjoy this product and would recommend to fellow orchestral musicians. This works pretty well! I tested it out on one of my old, grimy violins -- and wish I'd taken a before & after picture. This particular violin was an heirloom that I inherited from my great-grandfather. It's never been a good quality instrument & the varnish on it has never been shiny. While this polish didn't make the violin shinier, it did clean off all the fingerprints, grime, and rosin dust that accumulated on it. ... show more
