I own a lot of colognes and I like to frequently change up what I'm wearing depending on the season and even the day. I keep a few staples always stocked in my bathroom including, Polo Sport, Aqua de Gio, and Eternity. I was really curious about 'Driven' only because I've neither tried nor heard of the Dunhill brand. After using it for the past several weeks, I've become a fan. This isn't my favorite cologne but it checks all the right olfactory boxes - it's a balanced combination of fragrance with hints of citrus, wood, and musk. The fragrance isn't overpowering either. In terms of longevity, the scent tends to wear off after a few hours unless you're right up on places where it was applied. Personally, okay with that. After all, I'd rather have to apply a bit more than be the guy with overpowering cologne.

This is a nice scent. It has a slight spicy or pepper smell to it. My husband uses it more than the other ones we have. My teenager also keeps stealing it, so he likes it too. It last awhile and isn't overpowering. It would make a nice gift. I actually just bought another for my son's upcoming birthday. It also doesn't trigger my perfume allergy which is a plus! Scents that are too musky usually will. This has the perfect amount of musk.

I'm no stranger to eau de toilettes (EDT) and eau de parfums (EDP), having worked at high-end retail boutiques in California and New York for my job field. Dunhill Driven Black Eau de Parfum is the kind of scent you don't immediately gravitate to but is one that can grow on you as time passes. With top notes of bergamot and plum (not all notes are listed in this review), middle notes of cardamom and cinnamon, and base notes consisting of cedar and amyris, this scent delivers a woodsy smell upon the initial spray and ends with a citric smell. Longevity and silage are average at best, resulting in additional sprays needed just to maintain the scent for longer than an hour. The fact that this cologne is labeled a EDP but has such an extremely short fragrance time is alarming! EDP's normally possess a higher concentration of oils than its EDT counterpart, making it's scent much more long-lasting and lending itself to the uptick in price. For the price tag that's being charged, I expected to receive a cologne that did not require constant application but at least the quantity you get is right in line with the price that is charged. As far as suitable events/times to wear this EDP, it's classy enough to wear to a formal black-tie regatta gala but can be dressed down for a date night with that special someone. I really wanted to love the new 2021 scent by Dunhill but it lost 2 stars due to its extremely light scent, longevity not lasting for longer than an hour, and a price point that is not fitting for the quality of product received. Not the best but not the worst, but a fair scent for this self-proclaimed EDP/EDT aficionado.

okay, i got both this and the blue version and while i really liked the blue one this ones just not my scent. its a very masculine scent, as in lumberjack scented. this really has a strong freshly cut wood smell with a hint of grapefruit, and some more spice notes. i don't really like it at all but that's not the reason for the low star rating because everyone has different taste. the reason for the low review is the fact that both of these are super quick to fade. they go on strong but really fade and lose any noticeable scent after around two hours tops. i would assume that its because they are heavy on the alcohol base and light on the oils that help fix the scent. regardless of the cause its not worth this price. at this price i would expect something more in line with at least upscale department stores, not discount bin at Walmart. even at the lower end price i wouldn't recommend it simply for the inconvenience of having to reapply every couple hours. i don't want to have to carry around a bottle of cologne to top off every other hour.

I should start out by saying that I’m by no means an expert when it comes to scents and colognes, but I do know what I like and I like this! The packaging is sleek and I really like the bottle shape and the cap. It looks nice when it’s on my shelf and I just think it looks sleek and modern. I also have the blue bottle so they compliment each other well. This is a larger bottle at 3.4 oz and I do know some places also sell this in a smaller cheaper bottle if you don’t want to spend this much. The scent is strong at first but I will say that it doesn’t last long at the same strength it goes on at. It soaked into my skin pretty fast and a couple hours later the smell was pretty light and dull unless I put my nose right up to my wrist. The scent is musky, woody, with hints of citrus and florals. I can really smell the citrus and bergamot when I first put it on. Because it’s a perfum, it supposed to have a stronger and more condensed smell so you’re supposed to be careful that you don’t overdo it, but I found that I needed to spray an extra spray than I normally would so that it would last a little longer throughout the day. This and the blue are the first Dunhill EDP sprays I have used and I have to say I’m impressed I just wish they would last just a tiny bit longer
