If you have long feet (size 12.5) and wide this maybe your next hiker. I ordered these skeptical of the wide option and the price. But right away I could feel the difference from my Merrills. I thought the tread was a little skimpy from the vibram but was I wrong. Great fit. Great traction. I'm usually on hard pack to broken rock to rock. I'm liking them way better. I tried a couple other 10.5 4e trail shoes from sketchers and new balance, But had to send them back cause they didn't feel right with my wide foot. These shoes are amazing. I even wear thick socks with them. Water didn't get into them and they feel great. Worth the extra money in my opinion

Use it almost every day for a 2-3 mile hike in a local park. I wear 10 1/2 and the box it came in said 10 1/2 but the boot label said 11. I tried it anyway and after a while was OK with it. I could wear an extra pair of socks if I needed to. There's only basic arch support. I can definitely testify that they're waterproof -- I've walked through some thick puddles without the slightest leak. One thing, though, they squeak when I walk. Audible even on concrete. Musical squeaks walking on wood. If I was trying to sneak up on people this would not be the boot. ... show more

Finding a light weight hiking boot like this (any shoe, really) in a men’s 12 Narrow is like finding a needle in a hay stack. I can’t run down to Dicks or Cabelas and buy a reasonably priced shoe and when I do find my size, I usually have to pay A LOT for them and I usually have to settle for whatever color/model is available (very limited selections). For the price, this boot is a great value and it was available in two colors - I picked the gray. With a medium weight sock, these fit very well and are very comfortable for all day wear. Last camping trip was cold and rainy and my feet were warm and dry all day (several days actually… it rained a lot!). Only time will tell how well these will hold up and I certainly don’t expect to have them hold up as well as my all leather Red Wing Irish Setters, but my Red Wings are really heavy and for general daily wear, I prefer something lighter. Wearing the Red Wings all day is a workout due to their weight, but these boots are perfect for light/medium duty use and they are exactly what I needed. So far, so good and if I can get a couple of seasons out of them, I will definitely consider buying these again. ... show more

The workmanship of many other brands has decreased but not Dunhams. This is my first pair in years and I’m back to stay. Well made with no loose stitching, quality leather uppers and rubber soles as well as conservative looks not just trendy looks

love these boots. the bad thing is they don't last long. i walk 5 miles a day and the soles only last for 5 months. they are as comfortable as sneakers. the price is way too high for the durability you will get from these boots. nice and lightweight but just not a practical purchase for an active person. when i first started buying these i paid about $86. now if they were still that reasonable i would still buy them. $150 ????? no thanks.. ... show more
