The media could not be loaded. Retractable tarps are great for open trailers. Always there when you need them. Having the tail of that tarp supported makes the experience of deploying/retracting the tarp that much easier. It also keeps it from flapping around too much while on the road. This product solves those problems and is built to last. It ships in a few pieces so it can be adjusted to fit what you have. The pieces nest into each other and get secured with small set screws through tapped holes. You'll need 8 set screws and I received 10. I dropped one so I have 1 extra now(glad to have extras). The included hex key isn't the best, and slips in the set screws. Time will tell if they stay in place. If you wanted the assembly more permanent some tack welds would easily accomplish that. The discs on the ends keep your tarp square and prevents it from sliding off to the sides of your material box walls. I adjusted mine just to the outboard edges of my stake pockets and it passed by them with no problem when retracting. All in all it's a heavy, sturdy piece that should serve it's intended task well for years to come.

This is advertised as a stainless steel bar, it is not. I bought it because I wanted a lightweight retention bar that wouldn't rust. This thing is a 20-30 lb painted steel bar. It is very sturdy probably, but not stainless steel. Not what I wanted at all, and definitely would not have been willing to pay a hundred bucks for what it's essentially a mild steel bar. I should have known not to buy this when I seen all the reviews were done by Vine customers not actual customers.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is extremely stout. I got it to replace my existing tarp pole that was bent and was not connected very well to the tarp. The adjustable fit made it pretty easy to install, my dump trailer is 83" wide and there was still plenty of bar to go wider if you have a deck over style. The screws were not included, not sure if that was a mistake or youre just supposed to supply you own - so i used a set of 1/4" self tapping screws. Because of how stout it is, it is definitely heavier to move towards the back of the trailer when using the tarp, but i think thats worth it because it seems like it is going to last a long time. I also like that the ends are much taller than the ones on the bar that came with my trailer. The middle part of the pipe is where it is the thickest, which i appreciate because thats where my old one started to bend the most. I also used some left over black 4-screw plates i had to connect the tarp much better this time with more self tapping screws. Overall i would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to replace their dump trailer tarp bar. It seems like its a good value for what you get, and functions much better than the one that came on the trailer.

The media could not be loaded. I did good on this! I pride myself in finding good quality items to review through the vine program and I knocked it out of the park here. This thing is heavy enough for commercial dump truck use I would say. Its definitely going to provide a lifetime of service rolling up my trash netting on the 10 foot utility trailer I use for work. Im going to add some bearing blocks and a crank handle to make a reel that mounts to the front of the box and pulls out towards the back, then gets tied down. If the manufacturer is looking for more products to develop I would imagine others would be interested in a manual operating tarp reel too. Tarp your loads please drivers!
