I've never heard of this brand, but was familiar with the scents it contains so I thought I would give it a try. With the relatively low price, you never know what you're going to get. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I was told by my spouse that a couple of sprays did have it a little strong, but not overpowering or bothersome. Worth nothing that a little goes a long way. As this states it is an "Eau De Parfum" it is no surprise that it has a stronger, longer lasting fragrance. The scent really sticks around for a long while. Moving onto the scent itself. As I said, the fragrance was nice and I think representative of "Fairway and Oakmoss". It's a woody, grassy but still fresh scent. I was looking for a nice, affordable option to wear to the office in summer and this is a perfect fit. Packaging is pretty basic, and looks nothing like what you'd expect of a cologne, but that's fine for me. I really don't care about the look or shape of the bottle. My husband and son really like Duke Cannon's soaps, so when I saw this cologne, I knew I had to grab it for them. They were both very happy that I did. This cologne is well-packaged in a durable bottle with a good sprayer; it lets out a fine mist that distributes the product well. All three of us really like the scent. Given the name and the green color of the bottle and box, the golf theme was immediately obvious. I'm not really sure what golf smells likes, lol, but this has a fresh, outdoorsy scent that is suitably masculine. I'm always happy when one of them wears this cologne, as it smells great. I think this bottle will last a long time, and I feel like this cologne is high quality at this price point. Thus, I think it offers good value for the money, and I'm happy I ordered it.

I have been a fan of Duke Cannon products for a long time, having used several of their Proper Cologne scents along with their bar soaps, beard oil, and Bloody Knuckles moisturizer. Their product quality is consistently impressive, and Mulligan continues that trend. It has an interesting fresh profile that my wife appreciated more than I did. While I am not entirely sure what “Fairway” is meant to evoke in a scent, the presence of Oakmoss is familiar and welcome. For my own style, Mulligan does not quite land as the replacement I have been searching for. I had relied on the Lincoln scent for years and even stocked up with seven spare bottles when I learned it was being retired. I am now down to a bottle and a half, so I have been trying to find something that fills that gap. Mulligan will certainly appeal to some people, and I can see where it aligns with certain preferences, but it is not the successor to Lincoln I was hoping for. Overall, Mulligan is a well‑made fragrance with Duke Cannon’s usual quality, even if it does not match my personal scent profile. Fans exploring fresh cologne options may find it a good fit.

This is advertised as smelling "like an emerald fairway, oakmoss, and double-eagle potential." I ordered it because I love oakmoss and fresh grass scents, so I was expecting something green, earthy, and outdoorsy. Unfortunately, that isn't what I get from it at all. On my skin, it smells sickly sweet and generically musky, without the grassy or mossy character I was hoping for. I actually find the scent unpleasant enough that it turns my stomach. Longevity is around three hours on my skin, and in this case, I wasn't sad to see it go.

I ordered Duke Cannon's Mulligan Proper Cologne because I order a lot of soaps and shower gel from them, but never cologne. I really like the scents of their products and thought I would like their colognes as well. When I think of Duke, I think bold, masculine scents, so I expected something heavy and assertive. Mulligan was a surprise. It's pretty mild, built around fairway (fresh, grassy) and oakmoss (earthy, slightly woody) notes. It's the kind of scent both men and women could wear comfortably. It stays close to the skin and lasts couple of hours. You're not walking into a room ahead of your scent, and it doesn't linger into the next day. At $25 for 1.7oz ($14.71/oz), that's inexpensive for the category. Given the price, the subtlety and shorter longevity make sense.

This Duke Cannon cologne has a really nice scent that feels fresh and polished without being too strong. I love the fragrance, it has a spruce, fir, pine scent, maybe that is the oakmoss, but it smells amazing, like a fresh forest vibe. The fragrance has a clean, confident feel that works just as well for everyday wear as it does for going out in the evening. It smells more unisex than I expected and was supposed to be for my husband, but I am thinking of keeping it for myself, it smells so good. It does not have that musky scent that a lot of mens fragrances like to add, this is clean. A little goes a long way, so I do not need to use much each time. I also like that the scent feels versatile enough to wear throughout different seasons instead of being limited to one time of year. This would make a great gift for someone who enjoys fragrances or already likes Duke Cannon products. I would love to see more products with this scent available, it is the Best one to me, and my husbands loves the JEEP fragrance, he hasn't tried this one yet. I would recommend highly, Thank you!

I acquired this cologne and was immediately impressed by its light, pleasant aroma. The spray mechanism works smoothly, distributing the scent evenly without any wasted product. I'm not entirely sure what 'fairways and oakmoss' translates to in terms of smell, but it's definitely more enjoyable than the generic grassy notes I expected.
