I dont have small calves and these boots are comically huge in the calf...like almost 2 of my calves could fit into one boot...other than that they are lovely boots, well made,etc just super super weird fit. If you have huge calves these are the boots for you! (I have about 14" calves so average-ish)

I don’t know if I was somehow sent a wide calf version of these or not but they were huge. The actual fit of the boot in the foot was true to size, but the calf was absolutely gaping. I’m not a super skinny person either. Sadly they’re being sent back as they’re otherwise beautiful and seemed comfortable from the try on.

I wanted a pair of everyday boots I could wear for my job, which is in environmental. Something I could wear from my home to the field to the office; something without a steel toe, that wasn't a hiking or cowboy boot, and had some protection against water/brush/snakes. I saw the pictures for these boots and they looked so cool. Who wouldn't want to look like a 1920s explorer? The pictures are very, very deceiving. These shoes are ugly as sin. The color of my pair, at least, was more ashy than brown. The ankles had no taper and made my legs look enormous. All of the stitching and details is so thick and pronounced that it just looks cartoony. The leather is flimsy, so the boots flopped around like sad, dead salmon. I looked at them, looked at the Amazon page, and packaged them right back up. I got a different pair of Dublin boots (a plainer, Wellington-style pair), but I'll always remember these boots, and what never should've been. Just get snake boots. Or Hunters.

I've always dreamed of having a pair of Dublin boots and my husband bought me a pair for my birthday. The first time I had a faulty pair with a bad zipper and broken lace hook, but the customer service through Amazon was awesome and took it back and shipped out a replacement immediately. This pair has been everything I hoped for. Extremely warm and comfortable. They are very stylish and fit my wider calves very well. The fit at the ankle is loose, but that doesn't bother me at all. A pair of boots that I hope to have last for many years!
