This is a great vise for mounting on the corner of my "Mr. Fix-It" workbench in the garage. Mine replaces a smaller 30+ year old vise that was on its last legs (clamps?). Although it's not intended for heavy-duty metal working or woodworking, this small unit has so far handled all the jobs I needed it for. (A useful addition are the magnetic "soft jaws" I bought with it.) One "nit:" the crank handle is a bit short; a longer one would be a welcome improvement.

I honestly saw this after a few days seraching for the exact one to fit my bench top that I custom built, I came across this gem. Very affordable price comapred to other products, although the competitors are cheaper, a few more bucks gets you more features. I like that the center fix point is relatively close to the edge due to limited lip space on the bench. It also have 3 holes to further afix it. The vice itself is spring loaded, and there is a quick release/slide button which I never thought I wanted until now. The finish (quite durable, I tried scratching it with ever sharper point, no problem) and workmanship is good, no complaints. The grip heads has trneches for rods and squares, which is a nice feature. Overall I am quite happy with the purchase. I would buy again but I only need 1 vice.

TLDR: HIGHLY RECCOMEND for smaller, mobile projects. I use this product inside my RV's office to work on cool projects. The fact I can easily clamp and unclamp from my portable work desk and stow it for transport is amazing! It also rotates and can be bolted so that the lower C clamp can be used for something else. This specific vice can also clamp circular objects like pipes at different angles. It also has a small surface area that can ve used as a mini anvil or a surface for magnets to attach to such as a portable magnetic light. It's clear they put allot of thought into this vice and the build quality is actually way higher than expected. Nothing about this vice seems cheap. Can also fit American... freedom projects...
