The last few desks I assembled were splice tops. They were 2 or 3 piece tops. This was fine. It reduced package size and it worked okay. The issues I ran into was seams. My mouse even through a mouse pad would get hung up or my monitor wouldn't be level due to where the seam was placed. This desk doesn't have that issue with a single solid top. Packaging and assembly: Due tot he single piece top the packaging is large. The contents are distributed well and protected. Instructions are clear and assembly takes 20 minutes on average depending on your assembly prowess. All parts go together well without any issues. Just make sure to assemble on a hard even surface. Material and finish: Nice finish. The top is laminated but with the type of laminate that is hard to scratch and is very wear resistant. The legs are painted well and I see no blemishes. The desk looks good. Function: Dual motors. A single motor is typically okay. The reason to go for dual motors is better weight limitations, quick up and down, and quieter functionality. Not everyone needs 265lbs worth of stuff on their desk though. I prefer dual motor just for longevity though. Splitting the lifting task between two motors is less strain. The desk has minimal front to back or side to side wobble. Once loaded up it gets even more firm. Cost: For a solid, good looking one piece top desk, price is more than reasonable already. Add in the dual motors, and this is the best value dual motor/1 piece top on Amazon. 5 stars.

This is a nice-looking standing desk that was reasonably easy to put together. I can say that the box with all the pieces is very heavy (for me) and it was easier for me to leave the box outside instead of drag it in the house before opening it. Taking a few pieces at a time from the box and bringing them in was much easier plus taking the box, collapsing it and putting in the trash was easier since it was outside. Now, I am a reader of instructions and will stop to be sure I'm doing something properly - even it all I have is pictures with little actual written instruction - but in putting this desk together wasn't bad at all. The memory function is a great feature so you can go from sitting to standing and back again without having to play with the height. This surface is large enough for my desktop - I do have a laptop, but I also have an HP all-in-one laptop that is my business as well as back up computer and it fits perfectly on this desk. I am very happy with this standing desk - works well from sitting to standing and looks good, too!

This electric adjustable height standing desk is excellent and I absolutely love it, there are plenty of positives to be discussed here, and very few things are preventing it from being perfect, there are very few negatives to be mentioned as well. Before we move on to those points a few quick words about the packing and presentation, the desk comes disassembled in a box that at first look seems like is not protective enough, but I was wrong, the internal insulation was doing a very good job and protected all the parts inside. The company used a very good and quality insulation and not the cheap styrofoam that is widely used, that insulation is thick and is surrounding all the fragile parts like the top of the desk, speaking of the package contents, the legs (with built in motors on both), the supports, all the screws and tools, the user manual, cable management hooks with double sided tape, controller module, plus the remote control are well packed. Positives: - Easy and convenient to use - Once assembled, the desk is very sturdy and the control module offers fourt memory options that can be easily saved, also the digital display shows the height of the desk when adjusted, in inches, I love this feature. In addition there is a USB-A port on the side of the button control remote, that you can use to charge phones, tablets and so on. - One piece desktop - I am mentioning that as a positive, since I have another similar desk, but it has a top that had to be assembled from two pieces and there is a small gap running across the whole desktop length and that is definitely not ideal, but that one comes as a whole piece, plus the color of the top is very good too. - Quiet and super fast operation - the built in the legs motors barely produces any noise, the company claims under 50db, and in my measures, it is even lower, so the sound is non intrusive at all. - Strong frame and legs - all the metal elements of the frame and legs feel very solid and heavy, there is nothing flimsy about them, the desk can support up to 265 lb's. - Super fast assembly - The maker made sure that all the elements that can be pre assembled were already assembled, it took me no more than 30 minutes to put everything together, with a power screwdriver and the provided L wrench. - Height adjustment between 61cm and 127cm, or 24 to 50 inches, good enough to accommodate most people. - I like the walnut color of the top makes the office look fresh and new, and with the combination of black frame and legs, it's a great combination. - Long power cable - I am glad that the power cable is at least 6 feet long, making the placement of the desk more versatile. - 5 years warranty and 30 days return policy, great to see this kind of coverage. Negatives: - There was a small defect on the top part of my particular desk, and unfortunately on the top of it, hopefully that is just an individual issue with my unit, but still it is visible. - The included one round cut out for cable pass-through is not very high quality, it is mostly made of plastic and feels flimsy. - Top dimensions - the included desktop is a bit on the small size for me (48x24 inches), but luckily further down the line I can replace it with a bigger one and use the same included mechanism and frame. Overall, I like this Maidesite standing desk, it feels solid, it looks great and offers some high tech options.

This desk is very heavy duty. Super solid. Assembly was really easy but took a while. It's very easy to operate it's just 2 buttons up or down. Fairly quiet motor. The one piece of criticism I have would be that the top is 2 pieces of wood But after using it for a couple of weeks I can honestly say that I don't notice the seem down the middle. Overall, an awesome desk for standing or sitting. Adults or kids. Work or play.
