I tried a couple of other less expensive options, mostly because I honestly didn't need a car mount that wirelessly charged my phone. It's just as easy to use a USB-C cable to plug it in. But having tried two other non-charging mounts that either didn't adhere to the dashboard for more than a day, and one that could not keep its clip grip on a vent, I decided to try the more expensive option. This JOYVEVA (rather an odd name, but there it is), is so far kind of, well, "joyful" in that it works. I tried the vent clip, which does hold very firmly, but in my particular vehicle, allowed the phone to hang a little bit too low, obscuring my center infotainment screen. So I decided to use the dash mounted arm instead, thus raising my phone up higher. I dry mounted to find the exact placement, then peeled off the protective film on the round black rubber disk that you affix to the dash. They recommend pressing it firmly for a full minute and leaving it to sit for at least an hour before you attach the suction mounted arm. I let it sit overnight and then attached the arm/phone cradle. There are two adjustment locks on the arm... one that 'pumps' out the air to create suction, and the other to adjust the angle of the arm to follow the curve of the dash. The cradle is sleek and attractive. The best feature is perhaps that the arms that hold the phone open and close automatically. When you place your phone on the lower lip, the arms contract until they make contact with the phone I can use my Z Fold 5 open, which is nice as it sometimes provides better directions than my car does with its installed navigation. You press a button on the bottom of the cradle to retract the arms and remove your phone. You can still do this right after you turn the car off even though there is no power going to the USB port on the car after the ignition is turned off. You can use this cradle even if you have a non-foldable phone or want your Fold to be closed. The charging coils will shake hands with most devices, I would think.

Great for my Samsung Fold as well as it holds my girlfriend's Samsung S24. The charger works great also. Very durable! Secure Hold! Easy to use. Great Price! *Note that cord will work connected to phone instead of the holder, however it doesn't connect snug like it does when connected to the Holder.

As a charger, it is really good. I like how the clamps automatically adjust when you put your phone on it. I had issues with the vent clip. It isn't long or strong enough to hold the phone in place during sharp turns. I had the entire thing fall off the vent during a normal left turn. It comes with a glue on mount you can place on your dash but it didn't work too well since my dash is textured. I'm not a big fan of obstructing my windshield view so the suction cup is a nogo. I was able to swap out the mount connector with a CD tray phone mount that I already had and that works great. It'd be nice if they sold it that way as well. Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it if you plan on windshield mounting it or using the glue on portion.

Liked that it will fit my opened Fold 4, but too flimsy a holder on both the dash installation or the vent clip. Does not work well with the Fold 4 closed. It does charge nicely, though. EDIT: Customer Service worked with me to provide a solution: their new cup holder. I have a large cup holder, but they have extenders and with a small bit of padding on the fully open "wings", the cup holder is in nice and tight and is a 1000% better solution than the clip or adhesive. I cannot say enough about the support this customer has provided, thus the upgrade to 5-stars. EDIT 2: Well, it is now 2024 and the charger stopped working altogether. Ordering a new one yet again and will see how long this lasts. Too bad as both the dashboard and vent version are not solid enough for some of today's phones, but the convenience of the cup holder version is excellent if the charger works longer than 18 months.

Let's get into the nuts and bolts. First things first, the price can be felt in the build quality. Plastic and kind of hard to move around, but once you get it in place, it's there. Sometimes it will slip down when we are on bumpy roads, but I can't fault it. That's just the product of bad streets in my area. Charging is great, the opening and closing of the automatic gripper is solid. Only MINOR complaint is that cases make it a bit harder to grab onto, and I imagine if you have a hinge case, it probably won't work well, but besides that, love it.

The media could not be loaded. This product has a couple of issues. 1. Will not maintain a solid grip of the phone (Samsung Z Fold 5) if you have a protective case with a spine guard. When on a rough road, the phone falls out of the charging cradle. 2. The grip of the ball joint that hold the charging cradle lost the ability to hold the cradle in position with in a two month period. It has to be propped up. The loss of the grip on the ball joint also causes the cradle to spin in either direction. 3. When you turn your vehicle ignition off with my phone in the charging cradle then turn the ignition back on, after a minute or two (now driving) the side grips holding the phone release and the phone drops out of the cradle. The phone now falling, hits buttons, knobs, and the auxiliary steering wheel lever (windshield washer) flipping them on. Not to mention my phone is now on the floor under my feet in the passenger foot well, out of reach. 4. The phone charges so slow or not at all when using navigation.

I spent a $100 on my S-Pen case for my z fold 6. From the reviews I had seen the mount did not work with cases. So far it still is able to output 10W and holds the phone tight. The grip is just tight enough to keep it there tight, but not to tight. All in all, it's exactly what I needed.
