Had problems with propane. Ran good on gas but had a metal sound, like a lose marble when running. Luckily I opened a support ticket with Amazon as they will help you the first 30 days. Despite this, Duromax is very slow, day slows, to respond and will ask you the same questions days later making the process two or three times longer and further delaying to resolve the issue. Not sure of this is a delay tactic so the customer will just give up and stop bothering them or if they are really that inept. It took over four weeks. Yes four weeks to have the generator returned for a refund. Yes, it can be returned but it is a slow and painful process and be sure to work through Amazon support or you will have an expensive boat anchor. fwiw - A friend has a yellow generator and his experience was quite the opposite when a switch failed. Also, when comparing the two generators the attention to detail on how things are mounted , wiring looms, hoses being double protected, better secured, a responsive tech support.... are why some generator costs more. Can not comment on the actual internals. On a positive note, Amazon support was very helpful through out the process. And the Duromax tech person was very nice and helpful but its difficult to get to him and he is very very busy. I gave two stars because a refund was provided. I would have given three or four stars if the process was not so ridiculously long, wasting my time for over four weeks. And I may have accepted a replacement but my confidence in the company supporting their product prevented me from doing that. ... show more

When this was delivered it wouldn’t run off gasoline. The propane side worked great. Husband was able to trouble shoot it and contacted customer support and was run around. Should have returned but husband had planned to run off propane anyway. So be aware, customer support is non existent.

I really like the appearance, however I only have run it for one hour, haven't had time to fully break it in. There is no break in instructions in the booklet that came with it, just going by what others have posted on the internet for theirs. It came with a four prong plug and two 110 plugs. I already have a cord with a four prong plug so I can plug directly into my whole house and control with breakers. I love it so far. ... show more

I purchased this generator new and it arrived on time. I followed the instruction in the manual and it fails to start. It just backfires. I called, texted and emailed the company for tech support.
