The second mid-range of my old Infinity speakers got muddy like the first one, so time to replace. I could not find the exact one I replaced the first time but did find this. Sounds great ! Build quality is solid. I use the Infinity speakers as the front speakers of my cobbled together 5x1 surround sound. I do watch a lot of music videos and distortion bugs me. This model does not have the low range but even then just the pair of Infinities sound great. Besides, I have a sub-woofer so the low range is more than taken care of. My Pioneer receiver puts out 100 + watts per channel and when I tested it it got too loud for me before there was any distortion. Great replacement. Oh, there are tiny spaces that are not covered by the speaker due to the size of the Infinity hole, about 1/16 -1/8th of an inch. I just rolled up a piece of paper towel stuck it in the space(s) and screwed down the speaker. I could seal the space(s) with silicone, but . . . ... show more

The magnet is like 3x the size of the sorry sonys i pulled out. Sound is amazing and loud, but better have a sub. These produce literally no bass at all

Have 4 of these on a mono Stetsom 1600. But I have 2 other 1600’s to run 4-6.5’s and 2-3 inch tweeters and an 8k for my subs ran on a 350 amp alternator and 2 XSpower D7500’s with power distribution blocks to run 4 runs of true 0 gauge power and 4 runs of ground wires. These loudspeakers are AWESOME

I bought these for a surround sound system in my pole barn. I used some enclosures from older Sony speakers. I wouldn’t these in My car but they do a great job at filling up the space with sound in my barn and we’re a great price. I bought 2 more after the first one.

Sound coming out of your stereo might not be the best quality so you can't definitely give a very good review.. ill say in my system it sounds very good but not the best if I add a good amp and a good equalizer you can get the best out of this speaker.

Dropped these 6.5" mid-ranges into my Bic America RTR-EV15 tower speakers, and........ O.M.G.!!!!!!! Deeper, fuller mid-range tones, and sound stage and imaging through the roof!!!!! Highly recommend, especially for a home theater setup!

Ordered the pair of these 6.5s and got them wired to the cd player and they sound like they’re wired to an amp. I’m please with these speakers and will only buy ds18 products from now on. After using Orion, Timpano & other brands I’m rocking with ds18 over anybody !
