I put them in the front door panel of my 98 tahoe but the mids and highs drown out the bass so had to put them into the rear doors and new shallow 6.5 shallow woofers in the front and it balanced out nicely with the factory radio no amp. A Meta universal bracket was needed for the front doors and minor mods to get them to fit in the rear doors. the rear window motor is located right where the magnet is, a hammer and little effort flattens it out enough for an insulator and you can hide them under the plastic grate with not cutting. Keep in mind there wired parallel with those 4x10’s in the rear and might wanna unplug them if not the sound is super tinny and high. good speakers !!! ... show more

Ordered these for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU… sad to say I am not impressed. A very minor improvement to the sound compared to the factory speakers, but not as “awesome” as some reviewers said. Should have just spent the money on some JBL’s or higher end brand… you get what you pay for with these. If you get these for a Jeep, you will have to buy mounting adapters for these to work. ... show more

Ok, I purchased the ds18pro 6.5 sealed backs for $25.99 to put in my acura rsx. Im running tweeters and midrange on separate channels for active crossover adjustability. All speakers are crossovered at their recommended frequency at 12db. I can't speak for all ds18 speakers but these just dont sound good to be honest. Instrumentals aren't really present. No bass at all. Mainly a vocal speaker that has not so good vocals. I purchased prv 6mr200a for $34.99 and they are way better. Vocals are crisp and clear. Instrumentals are very present and pleasant to the ear. A little punch of bass as well. Id recommend the prv6mr200a over the ds18 ... show more

Nice speakers. I switched for Rockville to these and boy you can here the difference. Clear clean sounds with a good amp crossover and headunit. I wouldn't power them of the head unit as you will lose 75%of the sound they can push....... Looking to order a few more if they last a few months. Have them on a 4 channel amplifier at 120 watt rms with super tweeters connected with them. ... show more

Got these for my 05 dodge ram and the sound is amazing. I suggest that before you buy though make sure you get the specifications kn the size and so forth since I had to modify a way to install them. The magnets were huge so the fitment had to be custom.
