Top Amazon Reviews

  • Perfect fit and Comfortable
Size: 11 Color: Black/Purple
I bought these based on the reviews. For me the fit was true to size and I can wear 2 pair or extra thick socks with no problem. They have great traction and are warm. The only minor downside is these felt a bit extra heavy to me but I haven't worn real winter boots in about 12 years, I've been basically wearing flip flops or cowboy boots so the weight may be normal IDK. I would definitely recommend these, I love that I don't have to deal with an inside liner scrunching up and they are easy on and off. I'm very happy with them. ... show more

  • I LOVE these boots! Five starts!
Size: 10 Color: Black
I bought these boots to use for barn chores in Wisconsin. We frequently have temperatures in the single digits with wind chills below zero, and I was tired of my toes freezing while doing chores in sub-zero weather. These have been a lifesaver! I've worn them many times in below zero weather and have yet to get cold toes. I'm usually a size 9, but I got these in a 10 so I could put on a thick wool sock or one of my pairs of HeatHolders socks. I expected them to be heavy (given the thick sole to keep your feet off the cold ground), and while they're heavier than your usual snow boot, they weren't nearly as heavy as expected. I can walk around doing chores for hours without my legs getting tired. It's a little more work if you're hiking through snow, but the warmth is totally worth the trade off. They're also really comfortable and have a decent amount of tread on the bottom. If you're like me and always get cold feet in the winter, I strongly recommend making an investment in these. These exceeded my expectations! ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised
Size: 8 Color: Black
I ended keeping these boots in time for the big snow storms and boy did they not disappoint. I had to go after my dog in the woods almost up to my knees in snow and I did not feel cold or pain stepping on branches and vines. My legs typically are too thick for knee-high boots but thats a big reason to keep them as they actually fit nicely. Easy to slip into them and remove. If there’s men’s boots, I will be purchasing one for my hombre. ... show more

  • Really good boots!!
Size: 9 Color: Black/Purple
I love these boots. I tried on several different brands at local stores and didn't like any of them. I really wanted some boots that are rugged but still a bit girly. These are warm, very sturdy and comfortable. I wear a 9.5 and that is what I ordered. They are big enough to wear a thick pair of socks. I have a wide forefoot and skinny heels. The toe box is perfect and the heels just a bit loose. ... show more

  • Not -50 warmth
Size: 7 Color: Black
I bought these to wear in the Yukon in February where temps have been around -35c-/-31f. I bought them a size up and inserted thermal reflective wool insole underneath the insole it comes with. I wore heavy weight wool socks and my foot fit into the boot nicely with good toe wiggle room and just the right hug. I chose the Dryshod over Muck because of Muck’s poor reviews about heel cracking. (Plus I don’t find Arctic versions nearly warm enough for upstate aNY so couldn’t imagine taking the to the Yukon let alone the Arctic.) I cannot speak yet to durability of these boots as I plan to wear them in the tundra for fieldwork this summer as well. As for warmth they cannot possibly keep my feet warm at their rated -50f when my toes and feet freeze at -35c working outdoors for only an hour in dry cold. I noticed my feet getting progressively colder the more I wore them out even in -20c. I do a lot of standing around recording audio in the cold and yes I know about layering and each person has different tolerances. I know my way around winters. I really needed a boot that would meet the extreme temperatures of the north but also allow for sloshing around in shallow water in other seasons as well. I will update this in future seasons to see how they hold up with rated temperatures and dryness. That said, I like the boots a lot despite their stiffness and weight. They are a perfect height for me (I’m 5’3) and do not interfere with or are too far from my knee crease. Sure they could be an inch taller but they hug the upper calf nicely. I find them slightly tight around the ankles and I have normal ankles. Their rigidity means I can wear them snowshoeing. Yesterday I took them out on the trail with HOK ski shoes and they were great for sliding along flat and slight undulating hills but were not really supportive/rigid enough for steeper parts of the hill that require some skill at turning (but that’s not what they’re made for). I like that these can be worn for general errands and walking around as well work and recreation. They are impressively grippy on hard packed slick snow covered roads but less so on ice so I wear yaktraks or spikes. Overall 4 stars for now. ... show more

  • Dry all day

  • Good boot but order next full size
Size: 10 Color: Black
Even though I ordered half-size bigger than I normally get, the foot area wouldn't allow me to wear more than a thin sock, and an ankle sock as well because the calf area was to skin-tight to allow a knee sock (I am a normal-weight person with average-sized calves). Further, it took me almost five minutes just to get the boot off. The quality of the boots themselves seemed as advertised, just too small and narrow so I had to return them. ... show more

  • Very warm and cozy
Size: 7 Color: Black/Pink
I researched the Dry Shod brand Vs Muck and decided to go with the Dry Shod. And I haven’t been disappointed. The Dry Shod are priced a little lower, they are easier to find in the color and size I wanted plus they are comparable to Muck. I have worn these out 3 times now in deep snow and 10-20 degree temperatures and my feet stayed toasty warm. My feet are so prone to being cold and I have never had a pair of boots keep my feet this warm out in the cold and snow before. I am very pleased. Also, I am a true size 7 in shoes and ordered the size 7. They fit perfect with normal socks, but are a little snug with very thick socks. ... show more
