  • Does the job very well, and perfect for the LG Lotus!
I enjoy water sports and at times I like to bring my cellphone with me, just in case (like kayaking somewhere for a long while). I used to put my phone in a small double ziplock freezer bag and tuck it in my bathing suit pocket. This worked fine... but the bag would eventually deteriorate and I'd have to use another. Of course, they're cheap but they're not guaranteed to be waterproof. Plus, a hole could inadvertently develop that might be missed, compromising the seal. Anyway, while browsing on Amazon for a few items, I happened upon this "dry pak" wallet. It is designed for holding ID, money, and a few other things, but not big enough for a full wallet. However, it is PERFECT for the Lotus! My LX600 fits right inside, even with a hard shell attached. The Elite should fit in it as well. The closure tabs are a bit thick, so this isn't something you'll find comfortable in your pocket. It's really meant to sit beside you, stow in something, or hang off your neck. There are two knobs that close the tabs tightly and they work very well. The flexible plastic case is thick, and has a smooth finish to it, but has enough of a tactile feel so that it won't be prone to sliding off of a smooth surfaces. My Lotus One fits inside it snugly but with enough room so I can reach in with my fingers to extract the phone. It's just about a perfect size for the phone, almost as if it were made for it. Regarding it being "waterproof", some other reviewer dinged it for the manufacturer stating that this isn't designed for submersion. Well yes, that's true. It is waterproof with regard to the surface of the water. However, I decided to try it out with cash and a credit card. I put the items in, squeezed out the air, and then went swimming with it stashed in my bathing suit back pocket. It worked! No leaks. I was swimming in about 8 feet of water, occasionally, diving to the bottom. The manufacturer made the disclaimer about it not being waterproof for submersion, because it may not handle being under water for long periods. So, although you could probably do fine with a small double ziplock freezer bag instead (which I have used), this one doesn't wear out so easily and has a seal that is locked into place. I heartily recommend it. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly. 100% water tight.
Bought this for a trip to Jamaica to keep a map, ID, credit cards, and cash secure and dry. Worked better than I expected. I tested this product in the sink before my trip and it didn't let any water in at all. I was leary on the trip to swim with this but I ended up having to as we couldn't watch our bags. I was pleasantly surprised when I got out of the water and there was no moisture in the pouch at all! The second to last day of the trip one of the lifeguards at our hotel asked if he could buy the pouch from me before I left. He had damaged two cell phones already because of water. He had a small phone and it just barely fit in the pouch. I ended up just giving him the pouch as they kept us supplied with chairs and towels and also kept the vendors away. The only thing I didn't like about this pouch was that it is too small for a smartphone. A basic phone might fit. Even when I had a lot of cash the pouch got hard to close. Oh, I forgot the mention, the pouch floats so if it does get away from you it is easy to spot. ... show more

  • Stay Dry and Secure Great Buy
If you are looking to keep your personal items, such as credit cards, license, money, passport, or any small item dry and secure, then this is perfect for you. The clasp that closes the pouch is easy to open and close, super secure and it even floats, just in case it gets away from you in the water. I have used this product completely submerged in the water, on water rides, and even had it floating in the ocean. I have used this product on more then one occasion and each time it works just as well as the first time. The blue design on the pouch allows your items to be disguised, so others can't see exactly what is in it. The strap that is connected, you can either wear around your neck or even under a pair of pants or shorts if you tie it around a belt loop and tuck it in. The strap is secure and sturdy, so someone can't just grab the pouch and rip it off of you. I would recommend this product, I keep mine in my suitcase for when I travel. GOOD BUY! ... show more

  • Possible Design Defect
Within the past week, I've ordered this item Kwik Tek Dry Pak Alligator Wallet twice on Amazon.com. I first ordered it through a third party seller with Amazon.com fulfillment in order to save on sales tax (yes, I'm cheap like that). It arrived with a large tear along the front of the wallet making the item completely useless as a "waterproof" wallet or any type of wallet unless your idea of a wallet is one with a gaping hole in it. It should be noted that the envelope it shipped in was not damaged and there was an uncompromised bar code sticker placed over the middle of the tear evidencing that the tear was in place before it shipped out to me. I returned that one (still waiting on a refund from the third party seller who is making me jump through hoops) and purchased another one, this time directly from Amazon.com. To my dismay, the new one arrived today and there was a large scoring mark similar in size and placement (vertically through the middle of the front of the wallet) along with tearing though not as severe as the first wallet. Thankfully, Amazon.com processed my refund immediately when I reported this online. I will not be buying this again a third time. It's a good thing then that I bought this item Dry Pak Cell Phone Case along with the defective wallet this time. Like the defective Alligator Wallet, the Cell Phone Case is made by the same company, Dry Pak. Unlike the Alligator Wallet which had no protective exterior packaging, the Cell Phone Case arrived ensconced within a protective hard plastic blister pack. And it wasn't the annoying glued kind of blister pack where you need to lose a finger and risk putting an eye out in order to open it. It opened quite easily without the help of sharp bladed instruments. The Cell Phone Case itself has no apparent marks or defects on it (although I suppose I will get proof of its integrity if it keeps my stuff safe and dry 130ft under the sea in Bonaire's National Marine Park in a couple of weeks). It's a bit bigger than I initially wanted but I suppose I can stuff my passport in there now. And the best part: No Holes!! For those of you who want the one line review: If you buy the Alligator Wallet, be prepared to deal with returning it, and buy it directly from Amazon even if you do live in NY. ... show more

  • Works great
When I received the product , I wasn't really sure it would be water proof because the plastic seems too thin, but it really works great. This one is about the size of the palm of my hand. It's too small for a phone, but perfect for keys, money, maybe a wallet if it's small enough. The plastic looks thin, but seems to be made of very durable material. The opening is not too wide, but big enough for the items I listed above. To close it, you simply push the two yellow pieces back together and push the locking levers down. We've used it for two summers now, and it's worked great. Everything stays dry, and no problem with the keys poking a hole in the pouch. We go swimming in a large river, and just throw this over our neck, or attach it to our raft and jump in the water. I recommend it if you're looking for something small. ... show more

  • Great for one time use
I had high hopes for this product. Plan was to use on a vacation to keep money dry. Worked great a few days in the pool but then started to leak. This looks good and I liked the style and compact design, but the side seams just started to leak and it was only in a zipped pocket. Maybe it was a fluke. The price is right but I only was able to use it a few times before it failed on me. ... show more

  • Keeps stuff Dry!
Great product. This was my first time ordering any sort of waterproof pouch and I'm glad I went with this brand. It looks very simple and like it would break or not work properly, but it definitely works. The neck cord also works well and is adjustable and comfortable to wear. I purchased it in advance while preparing for a Cruise. After receiving the pouch I played with it a little and understood how it works and figured everything looked OK. But I still had to test it out before actual use in the Ocean, so I filled it with paper towels and submerged the pouch in a large cup of water and let it sit for over an hour, when I came back to check the contents they were just as dry as when I put them in and not a drop had seeped in. Meanwhile the Cruise time arrived and I ended up using it in pools as well as the Ocean and it held up just like in the test run. I used it to keep cash, credit cards and other small items safe. If you want to keep anything dry while being wet, buy this Dry Pak. ... show more

  • You want your cards and money dry? This is the one to get!
You want your cards, money, tickets etc dry? This is the one to get!! I had brought this for my husband and I when we went on a 10 day cruise and I must say from being in the beach for hours in and out the water then going into the pool right after? all my stuff stayed dry the entire time. It locks on real tight so you don't have to worry about stuff falling out and it tie right around your neck so if your like me who would forget cause your having so much fun? Hung around your neck always reminds you. You probably reading this like where's the flaw? No item is never that great for such a low price! Well the only flaw is that you haven't purchased it yet so you missing out on a great dry wallet holding thingy!!! LOL :) Okay but on a serious note the more times you go in the water with it the wallet starts to thin out a bit but even then it still doesn't take away the factor that my stuff stay's dry. I highly recommend it.. I don't normally write reviews cause it takes up to much time to think of what to say beside " It good you should try it" but Im doing this review to let you know it a great product for a good deal. If your looking to go to the beach, pool, water park, vacation whatever?! this is the water proof wallet you should get .. :) ... show more
