This may be the best work mat. I was skeptical of the dry erase capabilities but I am positively impressed. Erases with ease but doesn't just rub off! You can run you hand over the area written on and it won't come off. But when looking to erase, it comes off without staining and leaves it like new - and it erases so easily! Which makes it so wild that it doesn't rub off if it erases so easily! Very impressed and excited to have dry erase notes instead of wasting tons of note pads. Mouse tracks well on it and the texture is easy to write on if taking a note on paper with a pen. I'm very happy with this purchase and coworker's are impressed too when they see it. This mat works well with dry erase but wet erase markers do not react well to the material. So this is great for taking quick notes that you intend to erase right away. I was hoping to be able to write long term notes and to-dos on this mat but it won’t work for that. Mouse tracking works really well but the mouse doesn’t glide as smoothly as it would on a mouse pad. Not a great surface for writing on a piece of paper, the pen goes through the paper easily because the mat is so soft. If you are looking for a mat that you can use wet erase markers on try m•c squares. Theirs are perfect for this, the mouse glides smoothly and tracks great. They were sold out of the solid color mats which is why I tried this one. ... show more

I love this mat! I thought it would be a lil thinner, but it’s fine. It erases well. I read some of the reviews saying it didn’t erase, but mine does great. I even went on vacation for a week and left a note for my team. When I came back, the maker came right off with no problem.

This mat looks nice but the dry erase function is nearly non-existent. Markers don’t react well to the texture for more than a minute or two and it can be difficult to wipe off when you do manage to write on it.

I saw some people said it was hard to wipe off but I haven’t had any issues with it. I use a regular dry erase marker and it wipes off easily if I don’t leave it sit for a week or more. Great for quick notes to follow up on
