This drum is very similar to the first drum I learned to play, albeit small and much more colourful. The price was perfect, the size is perfect for her. This looks attractive in the picture. In person, it is very crude in its finish. All the ropes are stuck down by glue or varnish, the head is not resilient, very stiff and actually hard on the edges. It has absolutely no resonance. The sound is dead. It is, at best, something to look at, a model of a bigger and more functional drum. I was very disappointed and am returning it. ... show more
