  • Trouble with Paddle...not sure it can be used
Style: Native Floral
I need help...from Pattern...please reply directly to me if possible. I have successfully inflated the board (albeit with an electric pump) and am currently assessing how well it holds air. The board had a small black smudge on the surface, but should not affect usability. My BIG problem is the paddle. First, no instructions came with it. Second, I thought I saw that this paddle would float in the product description at the Amazon website, but the one supplied says NO IT WILL NOT FLOAT. Third, the uppermost plastic attachment on the mid section of the paddle actually came off! I tried to adjust the tiny nut to tighten it up, so the top handle section would fit securely and not move once installed. This is not happening. I am concerned that the paddle will fail while I am out on open water. Please advise how to proceed. I do not want to return the entire setup...seems silly if a part can be supplied to replace the defective mid section. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Style: Native Floral
Pros: very stable for newbies. Quality construction of the board. Easy to carry Cons: to deflate you have to sit and hold down the little button. Which is super annoying but maybe I’m doing it wrong? Doesn’t seem like any other way. Also getting the top part of the paddle to lock in is weird and not great. I am also having a hard time finding a connector that works for my electric pump. I bought a whole pack but it doesn’t have the right fit. It would be nice if it came with one. The hand pump it comes with does works and took me about 8-10 mins to inflate to 10psi but I am not strong enough to push that sucker past that. Overall these were a good entry but I will look for better options for my next board. ... show more

  • Great Value
Style: Classic Woodgrain
Great looking and feels sound- material feels high quality and it’s nice knowing that their customer service is the same as BOTE since they are from the same company. The pump is cheep but effective and filled her up with around 150 pumps- taking about 3 minutes. The only thing I would change is the color of the faux wood they have in the front. If it was a little brighter and less of a green hue it would look a lot better! Either way really thankful for this board ... show more

  • Great quality board!
Style: Classic Woodgrain
I researched for so long for a quality SUP that would handle at the lake and the river and was not junk. This one is military grade so it’s amazing quality. It’s made from Bote boards. Same board, just different name on it. I got an electric pump and it inflates this to 13 psi in about 5 minutes. I keep it inflated during the season and bought two surfboard hooks and hang it on the wall of our shop/garage. The removable fins are great and I love how compact everything gets when you need it to be. Was recommended by a friend on this exact one and I’d recommend this brand of SUP to anyone! ... show more

I can throw it in the back of my car, drive to the lake, pump it up and be on the water in minutes! I actually arrived after people with solid paddleboards who were struggling to get them off of their car. I unloaded, inflated and was on the water before they were and I pulled in after them!

  • great paddle board but...
Style: Classic Woodgrain
This paddle board is awesome but i felt like the accessories were kind of a rip off. I have used this paddleboard twice and the coiled part of the ankle strap has ripped in several places and is ruined. And i have not been wildly jumping off the sup or yanking on the cord at all. also the paddle in the pic is false. mine didn't come with the top extension and i am about 5'4 so i have to lean over a bit when i paddle. All in all I'm not sure i would reccomend this particular one to a friend. I think i would go for one with more and better accessories, such as a phone case. but the board is def worth it and very durable! ... show more

I'm new to paddleboarding but love this board. It's sturdy and rolls up nicely. Buy an automatic air pump and save your arms for the paddling. Manually takes over 20 min. Very nice color scheme too!

  • Perfect beginner board
Style: Native Floral
I’ve had this board for three years and it has been nothing short of incredible. Because of the width, it is extra stable for beginners, which is something I wanted when first starting out. Everything continues to fold up nicely and pack into the backpack that it comes with, not like air mattresses where you can never fit them back in their bag! The hand pump is great and inflates quickly. It does take a bit to fully inflate, but that just gives your arms a chance to warm up before the paddle. I did get an electric pump as an easy inflate option as well, though I can hand inflate faster than the machine. I like that only the middle fin is removable, and that it has a clip release instead of one that screws into the board. It’s much more convenient. The only thing that I would say, and it’s not even really a negative~ upgrade your paddle. The paddle that it comes with (or any kit comes with) isn’t going to be anything fancy. Not that I need fancy, I just wanted something a little higher quality. That being said, I’ve used the paddle for the last 3 years and have only just upgraded my paddle for this season. All in all, this is a phenomenal board especially for those just starting out! ... show more

  • Works for me and Vivienne Claire the Pug!
Style: Native Floral
The media could not be loaded. We go to a lovely lake a Oak Mt State Park in Pelham, AL, and this board is plenty roomy and comfortable for us both. Viv weighs 15 pounds and I weigh 135, height 5’ 7” for reference to how much weight is on the board. It’s quite sturdy and could easily handle more weight. In comparison to a hard board I have, which is 10’ 6” and 31” wide, it’s a slower ride and at times a little more difficult for me to navigate if the wind picks up. But that can be the nature of an inflatable and may be more rider dependent. What I love about this inflatable? The seller is in country and has resources to great replacement parts, which I haven’t needed yet and don’t expect to.😊 This board is super well made, and to me the top is totally impervious to Viv’s toenails. Anyone who knows Pugs know they hate toenail trims, so nails may be a little long before you schedule that next trim between paddle board time. I’m really impressed with the quality of the board, its accessories, and the honest ease of loading and unloading and reloading on trips out with this board. It gave me freedom to enjoy paddle boarding without a lot of hassle and at the drop of a hat. I don’t have to have help to load and unload. So ladies, this is lightweight and super easy to manage. Nineteen to twenty pounds is far less cumbersome than dealing with 30-40 pounds spread over 10 1/2 feet. Everything was well packaged to protect the board and accessories. It was double boxed, which is a must for this type of item. Everything was included as described including the matching board ankle leash! From reading Q&A’s, I didn’t think it was included and may not have been at some point. It was in my package. ***A MUST PURCHASE for maximum fun and efficiency !**** Just go ahead and buy an electric pump that inflates AND deflates. Who wants to be tired before you start? And if you happen to be carrying your dog, it’s less time in the heat and more time on the water. By the time you set everything up to get out on the water, your board is inflated. If loading up to go home, your board is deflated completely so you can fold it up and put it in the car/SUV/truck in about 90 seconds flat (or less). ***ANOTHER MUST PURCHASE*** PSA: If you take your dog with you, please get your dog a life jacket! Amazon is loaded with them! If you topple over, you have arms to grab the board; your dog doesn’t. (Pugs and plenty other dogs aren’t known for their swimming prowess.) And honestly if you get out on a lake with any board, get a life jacket for yourself. This board is great, but no board (hard or inflatable) is worth betting your life on ESPECIALLY if you ever paddle board on a large lake that allows boats or jet skis even if you stay near the shore. Unconscious people don’t swim. ... show more

  • Great paddleboard, with a few flaws
Style: Classic Woodgrain
Overall this is a good board! Stable and cute and has held up well (I've now had it over 2 years and used it many times). I saw some reviews mentioning issues with the paddle but I haven't had any issues with the paddle. A few flaws: -My biggest complaint is that the big fin is really hard to get in and out of its slot! Because of that sometimes I can't get it out, and leave it in...but then I have a hard time fitting the board in its bag -The board itself is great quality, but the bag is not great quality - one of the straps broke off. It's also just a smidge small— I wish it were slightly roomier so it were easier to fit everything in. It all fits but it can take me a couple of tries of rolling to fit it in (and doesnt zip if the fin stays on) -It's a little hard to blow up manually. This might be similar with all blow up boards. But I bought an electric pump and that's been great! ... show more

  • Great product for the price.
Style: Native Floral
Great product for the price. Many reviews are negative on here, and I get it, but this is a relatively inexpensive SUP and u get what you pay for. Took it out on the lake with some decent chop and it did just fine! Inflation is a slight workout but it held the air well. Some of the seams were light on glue. Again, for the price, I can add a little glue myself. My buddy that I went out with had a high end fishing SUP and he got so mad packing it away, (he had too many accessories and attachment points, it didn’t roll up well) especially when I rolled mine up and was ready to go within a few minutes. The paddle is lower quality… I’m a pretty athletic guy and I had no issues with it, even when I increased effort and speed. You can identify the weak points in the paddle, just tighten the nut on the cam lock and you’ll be fine. Many reviews complained about air gauge not working, just continue to inflate. It won’t operate until there is significant air in paddle board and then it seems accurate. Also, hand pump has 2-stage inflation: 1 stage is faster but more difficult. It inflates on up and down stroke. Other stage is easier but takes longer. Only inflates on down strike. I’m going to look into getting battery operated pump for the future. Overall, if you’re looking for an entry level SUP or just something to use in a calm river or lake on weekends, this should work well for you! ... show more

  • For the money, awesome
Style: Classic Woodgrain
Man, this thing is awesome. I just started with paddle boards, and this is my first (inflatable or otherwise). Was looking for something inexpensive to get my feet wet and, at some point, perhaps pass down to my kids. There’s literally TONS of options on Amazon, but this one stuck out when I found out it is made and sold by BOTE. If you look up the brand, you realize they are one of the few big, quality players in this space. Nothing I like better than getting a budget item from a quality company. From my limited experience, the board is very good quality, very stable (good for beginners), and comes with all the needed accessories (also good quality). Regarding some complaints about a “bubble” on the bottom… if you know how these are constructed (drop stitch), you’ll notice the inflation valve is directly above that “bubble”. Nothing to drop stitch that area to is the result. Most companies put the inflation valve right over the rear fin so you never see that “bubble.” Seriously, don’t worry about it - a bunch of reviewers complaining about something they know nothing about. I got this for what I consider a steal, but would have paid more. I also considered the Nautical, but I got this for significantly less. One con I will mention is a proprietary fin box… it is slide type, but there’s several different sizes of slide type fin boxes, and I had a hard time finding fins for the Drift. Luckily, the BOTE brand Aero fins work perfectly in the Drift, and they have a nice selection of fins for different use cases (river, long distance, etc.). Bottom line, this is the best bang for your buck if you want to start out with a budget paddle board. I’ll update my review regarding longevity in the future. ... show more

  • Best Bang for the buck
Style: Native Floral
This is our first inflatable paddle board after years of a regular board. Like many other paddle boards, it takes approximately 8 minutes to fully inflate by hand. This can be pretty strenuous when you have two boards to inflate. Luckily I got an adapter that hooks up to my tire inflator and cuts the effort down dramatically. I would highly recommend some inflation device if you use this board regularly. On the water, this board is incredibly stable and stiff. I usually inflate to about 12-14 psi. We are 175lbs and 120lbs and paddle with our 20-35lb kids in front. The weight has never been an issue for either of our boards. We took it to Lake Powell this weekend and traveled almost 5 miles and it did very well. I do notice that it is easier to turn and maneuver than my previous hard board but this board is also remarkably lighter at like 20lbs (previous board was 35lbs). The lightness of the board does cause it to skip more on choppy water but I have been stable on the board and have not fallen off any time. So far we have taken it almost a dozen times in lakes and reservoirs. I have not taken it to the ocean to see if I can surf the waves yet. Judging by how the board has been feeling on flat water, I imagine it can do well on small waves but wouldn’t attempt anything more than 2 faces or 4 foot swells. As far as durability, the board shows little wear with the times I have taken it out. The paddle is probably the weakest part and did need to be slightly tightened due to twisting on the top piece when paddling hard. However, keep in mind that I paddle hard and others may not experience this. I also had the bungee cord knot become undone which is not a big issue. I just simply retightened and tied a new knot. I would recommend this board and have already with a couple of friends. The first time I ever tried an inflatable paddle board was 6 years ago and it is astonishing the price difference now. I think this board, being very similar to the bote main brand is a great bang for the buck ... show more
