I liked this bag so much that after a year of very hard abuse I bought another. Consistent color from one purchase to the next. This bag is a cheap price point and super durable. I don't know why, since I did check the measurements, but I was visualizing something bigger. This could pass for a large purse. The compact size is more streamlined, and it's exactly what I needed to carry the basics like padfolio, wallet, phone etc. for job interviews (could also fit a laptop). If that's what you need, you're set - it's minimalist and good for when you want to look polished. I just wouldn't get this expecting to use it for the gym or a weekend trip. It's not that kind of tote. Another reviewer said the faux pebbled leather texture looked the highest quality, so that's what I chose. I'm grateful for their insight and totally agree. I was nervous it would look super cheapo, given the very low price, but in person it looks much more expensive than it is. (Love it when that happens!) The construction quality is impressive, and despite arriving folded, it doesn't have any creasing. One major benefit to buying here vs. in a store is that instead of being limited to the standard black or random neutrals, they have a zillion colors and textures, so you can get a few and switch them out. It's an interesting design - narrower at the top but then has a flat bottom with more space. There's also a pocket inside. It comes with a decorative tassel to jazz it up, and a surprisingly cute and versatile strip of scarf they include as an option. Normally the scarf-on-bag-handle isn't my thing, but here it somehow looks good. This is a great choice if you're looking for a simple bag to take to work. ... show more

Overall, I'm giving this bag a solid 4 out of 5 stars, but let me break it down for you. First off, let's talk size. Yes, the dimensions are correct, but let's just say I may have underestimated just how much junk I carry around with me on a daily basis. This tote bag is definitely on the smaller side, so if you're a "pack everything but the kitchen sink" kind of person like me, you might want to size up. Now, let's move on to the texture. The product description may say "faux leather," but let me tell you, this bag looks and feels nothing like it. It's more of a hard plasticky faux leather with an odd pattern effect. But hey, I'm not mad about it, I will just be changing my use of it. All in all, this tote bag might not have been exactly what I was expecting, but it's still a cute and functional little bag. Plus, it's held up well so far. Just make sure you know what you're getting into size-wise, and don't expect that classic "faux leather" look. The bag is just OK. On the plus side it's a good size for everyday use. It just has too many minuses that already have me looking for a replacement. It looks and feels like a cheap bag, no one is going to mistake it for an upscale tote. The shoulder strap doesn't sit on my shoulder properly so the bag constantly slides off. Based on the reviews I had high hopes but I was quickly brought back down to reality. It’s a perfectly fine bag, I’ll use it for library books or something similar. But, it’s absolutely not suitable as a purse. It’s exactly what it says it is; it’s totally my bad for expecting more. I took a chance on this tote bag and I actually love it more than I thought I would. It comes all flat and folded up but eventually gains a shape, and the creases go away when you have things stuffed inside it. Personally I'm using a handbag organizer in it that I previously used for another bag. It's a little bit too big for this bag but it still works, and gives the benefit of different compartments to keep things easy to find, while also giving the bag more of a flat bottom so it can be placed and stay upright on different surfaces. It feels sturdy to me, but if you look closely at some of the stitching, you can tell it's not the most expensively made handbag, which is fine to me, especially for the price. I actually love the soft feeling of the inside of the bag, and the big pocket that fits my phone perfectly. I also love how the handles are long enough to easily go over my shoulder. Personally I removed the tassel that came on the bag, and I don't use the scarf that came with it either. Others might like them but they're just not my style. The magnetic clasp for some reason never stays closed when the tote is picked up, even when it's not overly stuffed, so keep that in mind if that's important to you. Overall, for the price, I'm more than happy and really enjoying this bag! I could see myself buying a couple more in different colors. ... show more
