These are okay slipper sandals, but more for wearing at the pool. They're not great for walking long distances because they flop like flip-flops. They're pretty shoes, and I like the way they look. They stay on my feet pretty well -- the straps keep them in place so they don't slide around a lot. They make a lot of flip-flop noise because it slaps against your heel the same way as flip-flops. I'd almost take off a half-star for that, because they're noisier than slippers where your heels don't move. The base is thick and a little heavy, but only compared to thongs or flip flops. This is more like a chunky-thick flip-flop. It's stylish, so the comfort is secondary for these. It gives you a little height when you're wearing them, too. They're made of a faux leather material, with a nice bit of padding for the entire foot that you just can't get in flip-flops. The sturdy bottom heel is hard enough so it's not like you're walking on memory foam. Overall, these aren't bad for the price -- not a bargain price, but nice for the trendy style and look. I'll wear these to the pool and the beach, but I wouldn't want to wear them out for running errands all day, only short periods and distances -- they're just not made for that kind of use. Five stars.
