If you have large calves I would size up, I usually wear a 9.5 in shoes but was nervous so I got a 10, but i would def by a size 11 knowing what I know now, but they are very comfortable for someone with wide feet and super cute!

You’ve seen enough photos of these shoes, I gather from other reviews. You also are aware that the shoe is super cute. I’m not going to dwell on those points here. Let’s first go over some stats for the shoe. If you put these on, the shoe is going to give you a little over 5” of extra height with the heel itself coming in at about 4.75”, adding in the extra height given by the insole of the shoe, you get 5-5.25.” The front platform comes in at about 1.5” so that means the total heel that you’re actually walking in is around 3.25” which is still a substantial heel. I ordered these in a size 8.5 and they are pretty much right on for me. Sometimes I wear a size 8 though so if you waffle between sizes, I’d definitely suggest going with the higher of the two. For reference, my total foot length is 8.5” and the shoes are just about right on with size 8.5. I also didn’t notice a huge problem with the width even though my feet may be slightly wider than average (3” at the widest). In regard to wearing these shoes, I have some notes as would pertain to people who are not super accustomed to heels. I’m a special occasion wedge wearer and haven’t really worn heels regularly since pre-pandemic. Wedges are generally fine for me. These are pretty large heels, they are a bit awkward and scary to walk in. I feel I got the hang of it fairly quickly but was still pretty weary of walking in the dark, especially on uneven areas. The chunkiness of the heel did help, but I will reiterate, this is not “easy” to walk in as some have noted. If you’re not used to it, these are a lot. What doesn’t help is that they aren’t comfortable either. I know, heels usually aren’t! However, these have a particularly hard insole with absolutely no cushioning. I only wore them to walk to the store, about half mile round trip and thirty minutes at the most on my feet, and my feet where not feeling great after. I’d suggest preemptively buying some heel inserts if you’re buying these. Also, the tread is present but it’s not great. Certainly better than some heels that have zero tread, but I wouldn’t recommend these in any slippery condition. Translated: these are not a cute winter boot if you live with snowy weather. Best kept for the Fall. At the end of the day, these are a really adorable and fashionable chunky heel if you’re a heel person. They are a bit dodgy to navigate if you’re not used to heels. The construction leaves a bit to be desired. While outwardly cute, the insoles are rock hard which is especially painful given the heel height. At this price point I would expect a little nicer/softer insole.

These boots fit perfectly and are so cute. The material of the boot is super thick which is nice however they are a tad bit bulky. But overall, this boot is perfect for so many outfits and the heel size is just right!
