I have lipedema, and my legs can swell 2" in a single day. My calves (biggest diameter measurement) are currently 18," and these boots fit like a dream! There is no pinching, and I'm pretty sure the stretchy back panel could accommodate another 1-1.5" of swelling. I am tall with a 35" inseam, and these go right to my knees--another win! They are very comfortable, and my standard size 10 is perfect. Normally wide calf boots tend to be too wide in the foot area. I have an average-sized foot width, and these feel just right. Why do shoes skip 10.5? I bought the 11s and they were wayyyy too big. Just got the tens and if I wear socks or tights that are to thick it'll hurt my foot. I'm going to keep them as they are nice enough and they have the exact look and color I'm going for, for the right price. The upper part is very comfortable, and sits just right at below the knee. These are not for long, uphill walks, but they are stylish, fairly warm, and do not pinch my calf. The quality of the boot is good for the price. ... show more
