Leather was MUCH softer than I expected! Very comfortable, size fit correctly. I was worried about ordering them to wear for Halloween that they would be “once a year boots” but wore them to work for a week straight out of the box and have had zero problems. Will definitely be wearing these ALL the time! There is a tiny bit of fraying around the bottom of the zipper thread wise, but overall VERY impressed for the price.

They are not non slip I don’t know how they would do outside but I know that I wore them to work and almost feel down multiple times as we were mopping the floors, so if your looking for non slip boots and these came up, yes they are cute and comfortable but they are not non slip. I would say more 4.5 instead of 4 stars. Almost perfect, no bad regrets. I float between 8 and 8.5, so will go on a whim and say I got 8.5, I forgot what size I got. It felt as if a half size too big, so I liable could have gotten 8 in this, but I don't mind the extra room. It is not too much, and if it was a size too big, I would have liable to stuff something in my toe area like cotton or something instead of return. The ankles did feel a little snug, but can be dealt with. I wear them with standard socks ( not thin nor thick ). I had worn similar pairs when Walmart used to have them, and now it got switched to something not my thing, and am soooo grateful to got these last week on the Amazon Prime sale days. I highly encourage you to try these if you want something that goes above the ankles a couple inches. As for comments about buying insoles, I have not tried with insoles yet. But I also don't stand in them for long either. My last pair of same sized boots as these with similar size, the bottoms wore out. Maybe one day I'll get another pair as style like this seems to be on the exit....
