Why did you pick this product vs others?: I saw the reviews mentioning difficulty locking the sides but I had the bassinet from this same brand and really liked it so I ordered this anyway. Then it arrived and I spent 15 minutes fighting with it trying to get the last side to lock and thought maybe the reviewers were right. Turns out if you lock all 4 sides and THEN flatten out the bottom, the sides lock quickly and easily. Pull up the bottom before unlocking the sides and it folds up easily as well. This play yard is the perfect size for our twins' beds. A mini crib mattress fits perfectly. We love the all black look and the quality of the play yard is great. Since we don't use these as "play yards," we are unsure of the mat at the bottom and baby's sleep quality on it. It does seem a little thin and hard though. Great play pin. Use it all the time. But be careful if you have a crawling baby. The bottom pad slides around everywhere and the poles can be felt through the liner in bottom. Pad stains easily other than that great and easy to close. Bag is pretty durable for price. Make so much easier to travel

As a childless person, I have virtually no experience with using baby equipment, so imagine my surprise when I had absolutely no trouble setting up or folding up this playpen. According to the reviews, it should have been almost impossible. There are pertinent papers in a pocket on the bottom of the insert, as well as instructions, that you don't really need, printed right on the bottom of the playpen itself. The buttons that release the sides are large and easy to feel through the padding. I can't speak to the sturdiness, as I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be very stable. I bought it to use with 2 small puppies, in order to keep them out of trouble, yet still be able to interact with my 2 current dogs, when I don't wish to utilize their crate. I am a little worried about the mesh material being strong enough for this purpose, but I don't expect to use this for very long or unsupervised, so maybe it will last as long as I need it to. I was a little disappointed that there is a very tiny hole in the mesh material near the top of one side, a manufacturing defect that I can easily fix with a needle and thread. Just from my initial inspection, and without having used it, I would say this is a very good playpen for the price, and would be comfortable using it with a very small child, if I had one. ... show more
