I was doubtful ... but decided ... why not try it? It worked great! It got some tough soap scum I have been battling for ages to vanish from my tub. There are a few areas I will need to hit again, but this one particular spot which I thought would never go is gone! TIP I did not soak the whole sponge at once, but did make one end damp enough to stir up some suds, but I figured once the Dawn was gone, it might be worthless. This seems true. I don't think this is regular Dawn. Smells nice/fresh enough. When one end was done, I flipped around and used the other. Like any of them it was spent with one tub scrub but it worked so much better than the original Mr. Clean and is about the same size and thickness as the original. It's still expensive for one shot for the tub ... but for killing Syd the Soap Scum, it gets gold stars. NOTE: My tub is so old, where the 1970s non-slip flower stickers were 50 years ago is raised above the worn off bottom of the tub. The little flowers had soap scum halos on the far end of the tub and this got 90% of them off. ... show more

This sponge works everywhere and on many different surfaces. My first use of the "Magic Eraser" was to clean the dirty woodwork alongside the doors in my home and along the wooden banisters beside the stairs. It not only cleaned the dirt from the woodwork but did so well enough that it looked as though I had put a fresh coat of paint over the wood. Whether it's woodwork, Kitchen counters, appliances, or bathroom fixtures, IT JUST WORKS and WORKS FLAWLESSLY. If you have never used one of these Magic Erasers, then you are in for a real surprise. The only knock I gave it was with respect to its scent. To me there was no scent and I didn't purchase it for scent. I purchased it because I was so impressed with the way it worked in the past, and this order did not disappoint me either. If you don't add the "Magic Eraser" (not a regular sponge or a knock off duplicate type product) then you are missing out on something that works. ... show more
