I got this hoe to clean up my duck's pen (if you have ducks, you get it) and was actually impressed with the quality of the tool. Usually, these other newer tools have a metal tool end that somehow goes into a wood or metal pole and is attached by one bolt. THIS tool is made much better than those other tools. The hoe has the usual "neck", but this one actually extends and becomes a metal tube that goes over an aluminum pole and is attached with TWO bolts. The metal is also covered by some kind of black substance (paint or hard rubber something?) that should prevent the tool from rusting, and the poles are aluminum. Be sure to tighten the poles well, or it will feel loose/flimsy when you use it. It is NOT a flimsy tool, once tightened properly, it feels very sturdy. I also love that you can attach as many or as few of the extension poles as you need for your specific job and personal height. The hoe itself works very well. It's a nice size that can get the job done quickly. Can you tell i highly recommend this garden tool?

This hoe is great. If you know how to use a hoe correctly, this hoe works really well. It is sturdy and well designed. It comes unassembled but goes together easily. After years of struggling with a wooden-handled hoe, I ordered this one and, boy, did my garden life get easier. I cannot say enough about how great this tool works. It’s inexpensive, sturdy, and you can adjust the handle to fit your size. I’ve beed decimating deadly nightshade with abandon!

Seems to be light be strong! I wish they would have made the blade convex so you could make row trenching easier. That way the dirt would be pushed up and to the side instead of just traveling with you. I really like the ability to remove sections from the handle to accommodate the height and arm length of the user.
