I bought this after my bathroom sink got clogged with hair and soap scum. The gel is thick enough to push through standing water and actually reach the clog, which I liked. I followed the directions exactly poured it in slowly, let it sit about 20 minutes, then flushed with hot water, and the sink drained much better without needing a plumber. For a heavier clog, I did have to use it a second time to fully clear things out, so it’s not always instant. Still, if you follow the procedure as directed, this stuff works really well and is way cheaper than calling someone out.

If you have logged drains, you need this product!!! I have purchased this product many times now and every time I use it I am very pleased with how well it works. It is super easy to use, pour the product in the drain and then rinse with warm water 45 minutes later. It really helps clear up clogged drains. My one and only complaint is it doesn’t tend to smell as it unclogs the drain.

This does the job, I lose lots of hair everyday and my shower drain clogg very often, I like using this product because it helps to unclog although I always try to make sure there is not too much hair stuck on the hole bc sometimes is way too much that wont work well. But if I kind of clear the way a bit. It works wonders and fast. Doesn't have an strong smell so it is bearable.

I picked up this twin pack of Drano Max Gel with the usual hope of effortlessly clearing a slow-draining shower and sink. While it did offer some improvement, it wasn't the magic bullet I always secretly wish these products would be. For minor, everyday clogs, particularly those caused by hair and soap scum, Drano Max Gel does a reasonably good job. I poured the recommended amount down a sluggish shower drain, let it sit for the instructed time, and followed up with hot water. The drain did clear up, allowing water to flow more freely than before. It handled a similar, light blockage in a bathroom sink with comparable results. It's certainly easier and less messy than snaking a drain for simple issues. The gel consistency is a plus, as it seems to cling to the gunk better than thinner liquids. The 80 oz size in a pack of two offers a decent value, ensuring you have some on hand for future minor annoyances. However, this isn't the solution for every clog. For anything more substantial or stubborn, like a truly backed-up drain or a deeper blockage, Drano Max Gel tends to fall short.
