I bought this because I bought press on and I wanted to cut them. This was the most inexpressive one I could find and it cuts perfectly. It does feel light and cheap but it works just fine. You hold it at different angles to get different style of cutting.

For an inexpensive nail trimmer this works well. I bought it to trip back gel nails as they grow out. It will cut them straight across for a square finish. It did not require much filing at all for a smooth edge.
