Amazing boots but they did run large to me, even compared against other Doc Martens that I already own. I originally ordered in my usual size 8 but they were uncomfortably big. Exchanged for a size 7 and they fit perfectly. For reference I usually wear an 8 in most shoes/brands, but sometimes a 7.5.

    • If you're curvy, don't bother

These boots are beautiful, and I really wanted them to work for me. They are even more beautiful in person, and from the arch support that I felt from trying the boot on, I think they would be comfortable! But if you're a curvy girl at all, you simply won't be able to zip these boots up. The ankle/calve area is so small in proportion to the shoe that it's laughable; I'm wondering if they even increased the diameter of the calve area at all with the size increase, and truly who would have a shoe size this big, and a calf this tiny. I could get the shoe on, but the zipper wouldn't even close half way. I wanted to post a review for my other big girls; if you're considering these boots, don't bother. These are the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever had the misfortune to put on my feet. The zipper doesn’t go down far enough for a human foot to easily get in - or out for that matter and I had to be rescued from these after trying them on. Returning. Suuuuper heavy leather is going to need a LOT of breaking in, but these are quality boots. Beautiful color. They do run big - I normally wear a 6.5, sometimes a 7 because I have wide feet, but the size 7 was way too big and I had to return them to get a 6, which are just the right length.
