These boots are so cute and sturdy. Honestly I don’t even think I needed to break them in I’ve worn them a couple times so far and I wasn’t in any pain and haven’t gotten any blisters or bruises. I have wide feet and can vary between 7.5 and 8 in shoes, I got the 8 and have some wiggle room for my toes, they fit and my feet aren’t squished. I don’t have a hard time taking them off. When I wear them I feel so much taller and like a baddie queen, these are my first doc’s. Love the chunky look would definitely recommend these!

Yes! I love these!! I bought the flat white chealsea's last year and it took forever to break them in but these barely needed two wears to be totally comfortable. They are also so cute- a perfect mix of girly/dressy and doc cool. I wear them to work with long wide leg dress pants, and of course, with all my casual clothes. They are definitely heavy because of the sole- they are docs after all! But they are very comfortable regardless. True to size- I am an 8.5 in all other shoes, 8 in docs.

I usually wear a 6 but I got a 7 in these boots after purchasing Docs that fit too tightly in the past. I feel it was a good call. I intend to wear these with thick socks for the fall and winter months and they feel really good with nice thick socks. I also think that the bigger size will be more comfortable when I have leggings or jeans on. I love the heel, it gives the boots a more feminine look and they feel very comfortable to walk in. Looking forward to wearing these as my go-to boots this year. Edit: after trying them on with my tights and jeans, the size-up looks clearly too big for me. I’m normally a 6 so I’m going to return and try a 5.

These boots are the cutest! I wear a size 6 and these fit great. They definitely have a break in period and could not wear more than once a week at first because they rubbed on the top but now feel great after a month or so of wearing. Good quality and they don’t crease. Worth the extra $$

These are maybe my first doc martens (as far as I can recall). I wanted a cute and comfortable pair of boots with a slightly higher heel. One that’s casual enough but still sleek. I’m typically a size 5.5-6 so i got a 6 knowing I’ll be wearing socks. As expected it fit a little loosely. The arch and ball of foot weren’t quite hitting where they need to and it was a little hard on my feet so i tested several different insoles to provide cushion and close the gap. The best one i found were the LTOHOE memory foam insoles in size 5.5. I really enjoy the bounce to it and it makes the shoe so much more comfortable. It’s both a plus/minus that these insoles are not adhesive since it can be tricky to adhere them in a boot since you’re going in a bit blind and it can stick to all the wrong parts on the way but they also can slip out halfway when taking off your shoes. The boots i wore before were the Athlefit brand which had a nice cushion but wore out after about a year. I also bought Chamberlain’s leather milk to help soften the ankle bit because it’s so stiff. Looking forward to breaking these in!

I love more narrow toe box on these shoes. I wish they had this narrow stile without the heels, and they would be my go to boots. I also have a pair of 1460s and while they're beautiful, I love the narrower foot profile that the Spence's give me. Perfect rainy winter boots.

I wear 8.5, ordered the 9 but should have gone smaller because my feet were swimming in them. Boots should be snug in the heel and break in over time. NEVER wear boots that slip and slide on your feet - it will lead to bad issues. Now, for the quality: Honestly, I would have returned even if they fit perfectly. Close inspection shows they are not the usual quality of the original docs which were made in England. The original docs used high quality leather, thick and long lasting (I have docs that are 20 years old and still look new. I take good care of my leather boots). These new docs have leather that looks and feels very very thin, not quite 'paper thin' but close. Frankly, I was worried I would dent the leather just checking where my toes were inside the boot. /That/ is cheap leather folks. Two steps in them and they felt like I was wearing play-dough - loose and floppy. Those two steps told me they wouldn't hold up over time. A traditional pair would be stiff and take a few days to break in, to mold to your feet and literally start to feel like they were a part of you. Where old docs would be firm and hold/support your foot, these are flimsy and cloth-like. The stitching looks off. It looks like the stitching just for show. Old docs stitching was a part of the quality - holding the leather. These look like the sole might be glued on. So disappointed.. I will refrain from ordering the brand now.
