I've never worn Dr Marten's and purchased these strictly on their looks in hopes of using them as a patrol boot. Not disappointed! They're comfortable, have good support, and look cool. I just got these today. Since I tried a few Combs boots on in the store, I knew that I had to SIZE DOWN to a 7 when my normal sneaker and boot size is 8.5. That's a big jump imo but whatever. They fit well and hug my slightly narrow foot nicely. I just took them for a 40 minute walk with the dog and there was almost no discomfort. They aren't big and clunky which I like- I wanted a boot that was more every day, that I could wear to work and that would hopefully be ok for short periods in the never-ending Seattle winter rain. They aren't advertised as being waterproof or water-resistant, but I plan on spraying them with something. For longer outings and heavier rain I can always wear my Danner Viscious boots. Obviously I can't comment on durability or how well they do in the rain or how good the traction is yet, but I will try to remember to update this review in a few months. ... show more

I bought them in 2022, I wear them very often and still in a perfect condition. Very comfortable, cute pair of boots. Fit to size. I work a lot outside but never get my feet wet, waterproof. Cleaning is easy with a brush. Good price. I would buy them again, highly recommended.

These are insanely comfortable. I bought them for 10+ hour bartending shifts and didn’t experience a break-in period at ALL. I wear a 7.5 and bought a 7. They’re still a little big, but have enough space for an insole (which I might not even need!). And that way I don’t have the problem that most leather docs give me where the top of the foot where the tongue meets the shoe digs into the top of my food. I like them a little big though, leaves my toes free and unsquished. I like that the ankle strap is removable too, it’s nice to have the option to partially lace them up with the hooks and have a looser fit around my calf. ... show more

UPDATE 11/8/23: Well, I spoke to soon because when trying to put my boots on this morning, the back tab ripped off .. SURPRISE SURPRISE! Seriously, I am really p/o about this. I have never had this happen before, even on cheaper pairs of boots! Really Dr. Marten? I am removing 2 stars for that! What do I do? Rip the tab off the other boot now so they match? Seriously ridiculous! Yes, I am salty about this! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have wanted a pair of Doc Marten's for so long - I finally caved in when I saw these boots! They remind me of the boots I had when I was in the military just not as tall. They are a tad big (US size 7) but I don't mind that as it gives me extra room to wear thick socks in the winter. There was absolutely no breaking in time, they felt great from the moment I put them on my feet. No rubbing or blisters anywhere! I was worried they would be a little clunky to drive in but I am happy to say I don't seem to have any issue. They feel really well made and are a little on the heavier side. I did see that some people have had the little loop on the back rip off when trying to pull their boots on - I have not had this problem and I use the loops the same as everyone else. I feel like I pull on them pretty hard and they have not budged. I love the look of the straps, however, they can be removed if you so choose. So far they seem to be holding up pretty well with average use. I'm not running marathons or anything in these but do wear them to work fairly often. These are my first pair of doc martens so I wasn’t sure how they were going to fit since they come in whole sizes only. I’m a true 7.5 in women’s and decided to try the 7’s since I read they tend to run big. The 7’s were a little too big length wise so I tried ordering the 6’s to see if those would be a better fit. And honestly the 6’s were just a little too small. A 6.5 would have been absolutely perfect if they came in that size! So I decided to return the 6’s and keep the 7’s.
