So happy with these boots! They are exactly what I’d hoped they would be. I do have slim, defined calves and small ankles and have trouble finding boots to hug my calves. There are perfect for me. I’m 5’1” and 112 lbs. The boots start out very stiff, just like all Docs, but are fairly comfortable right out of the box. So far I’ve worn them with tall socks and skirts. The boots are beautiful and high quality! Unfortunately, the shaft is extremely narrow and not made for regular-wide calves. I could not zip even halfway up over my betr leg, and I’m 5’0/130. Footbed seems to be true to size. Boots are very rigid like all Dr. Martens seem to be, so would need some wearing in. Disappointing as they are beautiful boots, just wish they made a “wide calf” version ... show more

These run a little big I wear an 8 but if I had a choice I’d would have gotten half size smaller.The shaft is big on my calves I’m 5”7 athletic build ( horse back riding , soccer , hiking , mountain bikes.) the leather is sturdy very hard to find these days every thing is faux cheap suede or leather . They’re worth every penny and will last for years to come . ... show more
