These are a bit big for my feet. I typically wear somewhere between a women's size 7.5 and 8.5 depending on brand. These women's size 8 Docs are quite wide and a bit too long. I like how roomy they feel though. The shoes seem very well made and are easy to put on. I really like the way they look. After about a week, I broke them in well enough that I can wear them with no fear of blisters (as long as my socks are thick).

I work in restaurants and I got these boots for work. They were great right out of the box! I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 in shoes and I got the 7 in these. At first I felt like they were snug and I got the wrong size, but after a couple hours they loosened up and were perfect! They didn’t rub me weird of give blisters. The stiffness went away quickly. I bought these because any of the DM shoes I bought before were good quality and lasted a very long time. I've had these boots about a year and a half ago and they're holding up very well with almost daily use. They fit good (after a brief break-in), and look good too. I live in Seattle and I've had no problem with them leaking when the ground is wet. These have exceeded my expectations!

The Dr Martens Embury Chelsea Boot is GOOD looking. But when I opened the box, I thot, oh-oh, the ankle opening is too small, the boot is stiff, and it’s heavy! Well, after I learned how to put them on, w socks high enuf to keep the high ankles from chafing, I couldn’t believe how immediately comfortable they were! I didn’t know how to prove to myself that that wasn’t an initial mistaken belief (it has happened!) without wearing them. So I wore them shopping and forgot I had them on, they don’t wear heavy and they’re exceedingly comfortable. They aren’t cushioned like athletic shoes but I’ve been looking for winter shoes besides my athletic ones. I’m surprised and very happy w these boots!

I really loved that on my first wear these were SOOOO comfy....honestly, I struggle to get comfy shoes and do nooot believe in breaking shoes in....as many ppl do....if there is pain in the process it's not a good show....at least in my eyes...it just ain't worth it.....but these were AWESOME and comfy.....thought it wld bother me around the opening above my ankle Bec it is a bit tight and u feel it right when u put it on ...bit once u actually start walking I cldnt notice it anymore....they just adjusted so easily....I have them in black and brown....wore the black once so can't say if they will also get crease marked or not like the brown ones .....o and one thing I wish they were a bit less bulky so they wld look nice with a nice outfit bit Bec of bulkiness and creaseware they are too casual and don't match all outfits....but of course I still love them! Recommend to anyone who does not do beauty for pain and is tomboyish and doesn't care to be very feminine looking daily....and of course it's unisex so for any men out there looking for comfort......it has such a nice wide toe box making them even better....and trust me...I've tried on other dr martins...like the combat laxe ups....so uncomfy and they def beed breaking in.....but these r a gift from heaven from the first wear!

I ordered these to wear on my trip to Portugal. I usually wear a women's 8-8.5 so I ordered these in an 8. They came in the original box, with the Doc Marten tissue paper inside that I'm used to seeing from buying shoes at an actual DM store. The opening at first is a bit tight to slide your foot through but it does give a bit with each wear. The toe box was quite spacious and I'm not sure if that's because it is a unisex boot. I felt like if they offered half sizes a 7.5 would fit better, but a 7 would be too small. After going up and down the hills in Porto and averaging 7+ miles a day for 6 days in these my feet were fine. I did develop a hot spot on one of my heels but that was from another pair of shoes I wore out for my hiking day trip. Even with that hot spot, a little bandaid and my new boots my feet were ready to walk another 7miles. It rained off and on throughout the trip and my feet stayed dry and I didn't feel like I would slip on the cobblestones at all. Would recommend buying these while they're on sale if you can.
