These Chelsea boots are more comfortable and lighter than the 2976 yet look exactly the same in my opinion. I also ordered the 2976 and returned them in favor of these. I wear a solid 9 and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly. My only complaint is the opening is small and very stiff which makes it difficult to get foot into so hoping this loosens/opens up over time. I added a silicone pad to the upper front as well because the cuff rubbed the front of my ankle when walking. Besides being inconvenient, the pad solved the problem. These boots seem durable and will likely last a very long time. Overall, love this Doc Marten and wore them for hours right out of the box! ... show more

Wow, I’m so very, very happy with my purchase. I’ve been wearing Blundstone Chelsea boots pretty much every day for the last 2 years. These DOCs are half the price and boast that iconic DOC sole. As per usual with Dr. Marten boots, I sized down and it still left me plenty of room for thick socks when needed. I was super hesitant when I got them because they were more than I’ve ever spent on shoes in my life. But, Docs have always had rave reviews so after months of them being in my cart I finally saved up to get them and bit the bullet. When I first tried them on I was a little unsure if I liked them. I was so used to snug fitting shoes and I thought they made my feet look “big” and they had a little more room than I’m used to. But boy, little did I know they would become my favorite go to shoes! They’re so easy to slip on, super comfortable, go with basically everything and durable. I’ve worn them out on the town for a night out and my feet didn’t hurt at all walking around downtown all night. I also wore them riding ATV’s in backwoods Minnesota and hiking in Duluth, MN and they had such great traction and support. They only had a mild layer of dust and dirt that could easily be wiped off with leather cleaner (or a damp cloth) and they were good as new! I expect these to last for years to come seeing what I’ve worn them through already. I’m a little late to the party but I have definitely jumped on the Dr. Martens bandwagon :) **Edit/update: I have been wearing them in the snow this winter when the snow is mild and I don’t want to break out the snow boots. As long as you spray them with a water resistant solution you should be okay! My feet stayed warm (with thicker socks) and dry the whole time. Such a great year round shoe IMO. ... show more

I’m been in the hunt for the perfect boots now for months. I wanted something comfortable, easy to take on and off and stylish but not clunky looking. I wear a 9.5 wide or a 10. I ended up with an 8 in these! They fit snug but so far have been SO comfortable. All the other docs I tried the 9 was too small and the 10 was too big. I was about to give up on trying to find boots but I couldn’t pass these up because they were so cheap compared to others. I’m glad I gave them a try.
