I am a woman with size 8 in the right foot and sz 8 1/2 in the left (just a smidgen longer). I tried the Bonny women's 7 at first. They were too short in the left foot, but a good length the right foot. However, they were too snug in the width for the right foot. Because I have wide feet, the 8 gave me the length I needed for my longer left foot and the width I needed for my wider right foot. I would guess that my right foot is a C/D width and my left is B/C. It also gave room for thicker shoe inserts that I need to support my arches. Fortunately the inserts that come with the boots are removable because, while they have a nice padding, they offer little to no arch support for high arches. Some reviewers mentioned that their heels slide around. I have narrow heels, but the thicker shoe inserts that I use take up the slack. I also try to tie the shoes nice and snug. Thicker socks might help too. Just fyi, the DMs Bonny Boot and the DMs Combs Boot both run a bit wider, so both are a great selection for us wide-foot folks. Sadly, I can never wear those cute, narrower DMs that taper at the toes, but these are great for a more casual look. For a more rugged look, you can switch out the black shoe strings with the yellow ones that come in the box. ... show more

Chunky boot style and fits well with plenty of toe space. Leather is quality and laces are quality. Boot pull on strap is ribbon material (most boots use leather material) but it works. Sole is sturdy material and tread design ok. I didn’t buy as a fashion statement but as an outdoor functional hiking/gardening shoes. I would buy again when they finally wear out. ... show more

I work in residential concrete and bought these boots about a year ago. I wear them to work most days and have since I bought them. I don't like your "typical" work boots that construction workers wears. Like Ariat, Timberland, or whatever. And they're overpriced. But these boots are fantastic. They were broken in and comfortable right out of the box. Not issues with blistering or anything. And they're comfortable all day. And after a year of tough labor they are still in excellent condition. Just a bit dirty of course. Highly, highly recommend. Whether they're for working or casual wear. ... show more

Sizing down ended up being the right choice for me (thank you, other reviewers!). I usually wear a 7.5-8 in Women's, and I ordered a 7. Right away, it seems like an exact fit. I even replaced the insoles with arch support insoles that I had placed in a pair of Women's size 8 sneakers that I only wore a few times, and they fit perfectly without having to trim (bonus, the original insoles were very easy to remove). I'm guessing these Docs will become more relaxed once they wear in, too. The spare yellow laces are a nice touch. First impression is that they're super cute and look like good quality, but time will tell on durability. ... show more

I wear 10.5 US. Amazon recommended an 11, I went with 10, from previous pair I purchased many years ago, whom my brother took possession of. Let him barrow them 4 years ago and he likes them so much that they stayed at his house. Anyway, a great boot that will outlast many pairs and can be worn pretty much with any outfit combo.
