As described in other reviews, these boots are sturdy and well made with genuine leather. The Chelsea boot is stiff and expected to be so due to how thick the leather is. I headed the warning of other reviews where the boots were described as stiff and takes some breaking in along with them running true to size. The boots are a little difficult to get on and off but again with the structure and thick leather that has to be expected. The toe box is rounder than some other Chelsea‘s however I appreciate it, personally. Compared to my Sam Edelman Laguna Lug sole Chelsea boots where I had to get a 10 in due to how narrow the boots run, these run true to size. I normally wear a 9 which is what I ordered and they fit great. The souls have good grip on concrete and snow like the Sam Edelman Chelsea boots. I have two pairs of Timberman Courmayeur Valley Chelsea Boots and can say they do not have as much grip in comparison.

I bought these for my daughter. They are so beautiful. I was a little skeptical buying from Amazon but they are 100% as expected genuine Dr. Martens. She receives so many complements on these boots. Would definitely recommend.

Let me start by saying I've owned multiple pairs of docs over the years, of all styles. Most are very comfortable and easy to break in. As soon as I tried these on, I could feel how stiff they were. They look much rounder in the toe than they appear in the pictures on here. And while they look roomy, boy howdy, they are NOT! Be prepared to feel some rough spots inside. When I flexed my foot with them on, those spots loosened, so I know they will become pliable over time. My feet are not super narrow or wide. They're in between the two, but this shoe is very tight to the foot and leg. Be prepared. However, it bodes well that they are thick leather and won't break down easily over time. Overall, I'm glad I bought them. You can't go wrong with docs. They're an investment and one of the best shoes you'll ever own. You just have to put the work in on them.

I love the non slip and quiet comfortable sole. I do not love how difficult it is to put these on and also to remove them. That being said, I'll order a shoe horn! These needed no breaking in, and walked through a very long and busy day of work on day one of full wear. (After the initial struggle to get them on, good grief!!) I love them, and hope as they relax it will be easier to put them on and remove.
