The 1460 is the original Dr. Martens Boot. Made with instantly recognizable features: 8 eyes, classic Dr. Martens leather, grooved sides, a heel-loop, yellow stitching and a comfortable, air-cushioned sole. Built to last, this unisex boot is forged using one of the finest methods of construction: utilizing a Goodyear welt and heat-sealing it to the sole. The 1460 is made with highly durable leather and sits on an AirWair sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. Use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam to protect the leather and keep your boots clean, soft and supple. Understated leather tames the combat-reminiscent style of Dr. Martens's 1469 Originals 8-Eye boot. Looped pull at the back and signature stitching at the manmade sole.

These are great boots, but I recommend wearing them for short periods of time first. They are heavy boots and take some time to break in. Once have are broke in they are super comfortable and look great. They can be worn in so many situations. Dress up, dress down, and the leather quality keeps them looking good for such a long time. These boots last forever. My last pair lasted ~10 years before finally needing to be replaced. They never come in half sizes so they either are a little too big or a little too small. I go with a little too small, and while the break-in period really hammers my feet, after a few weeks they fit like a glove and are perfect. These are my first Dr. Martens 1460's since I was in high school. I love the classic look and they provide solid support. I normally wear an 8.5 but since these only come in full-sizes, I go with the 8. My foot fits the footbed but they are tight on top between my toes and the laces. Being real leather, this will stretch as they break in. I also own Dr. Martens dress shoes and motorcycle boots and have had to deal with this in those as well. If you wear a half-size, you may want to try these on before buying. I wore these for 12 hours the first time I wore them without an issue. ... show more

Wore these with a leather skirt and fishnet stockings and was comfortable the whole night! They are a little squeaky and ran a half size bigger than I expected so I probably could’ve sized down . Overall I love them

Very disappointed with these shoes. I used the Wonder Balsam kit and applied the conditioner multiple times, and even wore them indoors to break them in properly. Despite that, after just two weeks, they already seem to be falling apart. The most frustrating issue, though, is the constant squeaking. I ordered these boots for my 13 year old daughter and she LOVES these boots. We get compliments on these boots every time she wears them out. I think one reason is the fact that they are white Dr. Martens. She did not have a "breaking in" period at all. She wears a 9 1/2 shoe regularly and I ordered these in a 10. It is a great quality shoe. She says it is a very comfortable boot as well. I am even thinking of ordering some for myself in the future.
