I chose to return these but was bummed that I needed to. These fit a bit wider than a Blundstone boot so if your foot is on the normal/narrow side, they might not work. I had Doc Martens back in the 80's and while these are no longer made in the UK, they seemed as if they would be quality and last. These were not too heavy, and the leather was a deep rich brown. I've been buying Dr. Marten's shoes and boots for well over 30 years. I've probably owned twenty pairs. I always, always, always worn a US size 12 (UK 11). Never fails. They've always been a smidge big, but 11US/10UK we're always too snug. I wear an 11.5 wide in New Balance and Saucony sneakers. And an 11.5 or 12 (US) in EVERYTHING else. I first bought my usual 12US/11UK in these and they were wicked tight. Like I got them on, but I can guarantee I'd end up with either blisters, or a deformed/blown upper. I checked them against older pairs I have and while the length was about the same, they were almost a half inch (2 cm) narrower at the widest part of the sole. If you wear an E or 2E you are SOL. I ended up exchanging for a pair of US13/UK12 and they are comfortable width wise, but a bit loose in the heel now. I'm not sure I'll keep them. They are the same width as my 10 year old US12/US13 boots and 5 year old shoes. Mind you, I'm talking about the outer sole, the very bottom, i.e. the part that doesn't "stretch" with wear. I feel like this is another brand lost to overseas quality problem. ... show more

Definitely go true to size if u have small feet I went a size down thats what I usually do I'm a US men's 10 and got a 9 and they are very snug they fit perfectly when I take the insole out but then they aren't comfortable so I'd say stay true to size
