There are a few things to note with the Jadon: 1) Sizing: When I first got these and tried them on, I was devastated because they felt HUGE on my feet. I had been looking forward to buying them for quite a while, and since I ordered the same Docs size I always do, I expected them to fit the same way. I wear a 10-10.5 wide shoe, yet in the 8UK/42/10USW Jadons, my foot was swimming in the toe box. I even put a ProFoot insert in them to no avail. Then I looked inside my favorite pair of Docs and lo and behold, unlike the ProFoot insert which is only the back half of the foot, my favorite Docs had a FULL length arch support insert. I swapped it into the Jadons, and voila, they fit beautifully! With the zipper, these are so easy to put on and take off quickly -- a wonderful feature! 2) Comparison (all with a full-length insole) Jadon -- These are feel like a standard pair of Docs, only with a sweet "make me taller!" sole. They are SUPER comfortable! I wore them yesterday and walked around a convention for several hours, then for the remainder of the evening. Clemency -- These are again like a standard pair of Docs, with about the same lift as the Jadons at the heel, however the front of the boot has a standard thickness Docs sole. These have been my favorites for "daily" use -- at least until the Jadons, which may quickly surpass these. Darcie -- Crank the Clemency up another inch at the heel and you have the Darcie model. I have a beautiful teal, floral-embossed pair of these and they always elicit compliments whenever I wear them. Unfortunately I can't wear them for more than a few hours at a time because it's too much pressure on the bridge of my foot, under the laces. Now that the Clemency and Jadon have come along, I may retire these for special occasions only. Winner: I think the Jadons will be my boot-of-choice very soon! Pro tip: Wear nylons! Docs are notoriously painful to break in, and I was worried the Jadons would cause the same issues. These didn't cause me any pain at all and already feel like they're molded to my feet. I'm sure a good part of it is that I had a friend tell me to wear nylon knee-highs under my socks -- and it worked! He's a roller derby coach, so I'm not sure why I was skeptical in the first place. My happy feet appreciate the advice!

I wanted to write this review for people who may still have doubts, sizing issues, and in general just issues as to what is best for them. I was concerned when I bought this shoe because of sizing, as some said to size down, while others stayed their size or even went up a size. I have quite smaller and skinnier feet. I am a women's size 6(US) and I decided for these that i would buy my size. When I got the shoes I noticed that they were my size length wise but in the toe area I get space up and down so I can comfortably move them around. Concerning the fitting of the boot, they weren't tight but still stayed well fit on my foot. At first I thought that maybe its because they were too big for me by about half a size, but I've realized that I actually quite like the feel of the boots not being tight fitting, as it allows you to comfortably wear the shoe from the start without having issues breaking them in. It also allows you to be able to wear thicker socks without the shoe becoming too tight on your foot. So my advice for sizing is to go down ½ or 1 a size then what you normally wear if you have skinnier feet and you want boots that are more tight and fitted. But if you enjoy shoes that you could wear thicker socks with or have more room in for comfort, stick to your size. Also if you have wider feet it is probably best to stick with your size or maybe go down by ½ as the shoes could mold to your feet if they are tight. Regarding the shoe itself, these shoes are great! I did notice though that the shoes seems bigger and chunkier in person than I initially thought they would, but the more I have worn and looked at them, the more obsessed I have become with how they look. I've also gotten more used to them, so they don't look at big as when I first saw them. I definitely recommend these boots to anyone who wishes to buy them, as I am a first time buyer from doc martens, I can confirm they are very nicely made boots with good comfort and looks!

I've been eyeing these for a while. I purchased the Dr. Marten Clarissa sandals a while back and got US Womens 10 which is my usual size. I'd ignored the comments to size down because I have wide feet. But they were too big and they rub and give me blisters because of that. For these I decided to follow the advice to size down and I got US womens size 9. My feet are just on the edge of not being wide which means normally shoes are narrow for me anyways. Sometimes they won't even fit if they're not W. But these boots fit perfectly. They're a little tight on the sides but not length wise. Length wise they're perfect - not too short not too long. width wise they'll take some time to break in but they're not painful, just a little numbing. The leather will wear and fit and then i know i'll have them for a long time. Something that I found to be odd was that the sole of the shoe on the inside is half leather and then half this brown hard material. I'll probably put a cloth insert in anyways just to make them last longer but I found it odd that the shoe had a seam going halfway through to switch. It kind of feels like there's wood down by the toes but it's softer like fabric. Regardless, I love these shoes. They look great and they're very sturdy. I'm excited to have them for a long time.

I loveeeee my Jadon’s! They are uncomfortable to break in but beauty is pain. I used two pairs of socks and like feminine pads on the ouchy parts when breaking in. They are legit though and so cute! My fav shoes I’ve ever owned!

If you’re still on the fence, just do it!! I’m so in love with these boots 🤣 I wear them mainly for work so yes, I wear them nearly every day: come rain or shine. For work I’m on my feet all day, sometimes going into cold freezers, lifting boxes etc. My feet feel fine after continuous use. Better than some tennis shoes I’ve worn. (Note: the boots are not 100% non slip). Super versatile. I wear them also for dates, concerts, going out for drinks etc. They’re super bad ass. I went a half size up and ordered a 9. Pros: did not have to “break” into the shoe and had spacious toe room. Cons: I have to double up on socks or my feet slip and slide. Will order true to fit next time for comparison. Overall, a good pair of boots. Will buy more. Bought from another brand before this pair and they fell apart in less than a month. You get what you buy….invest a little. So far, these are holding true and steady. Will try to update my review within a year and upload pics! Ttfn…

these. SHOES!!! lemme tell u abt these beauties…… they arrived right on time in the original doc martens box, w wrapping and the tags on and everything! beautiful! authentic! love! i nearly cried when i saw them, they were THAT pretty.. i was kinda skeptical of em being too small at first because they looked TINY in comparison to my stretched out v worn in year old 1460’s, but i think that must be the effect of the platform! the laces are more chunky and a lil shorter than the 1460’s as well, but that’s nothing to complain abt… all in all they’re So??? Gorgeous? and fit PERFECTLY? i am in LUV! <3 to my gals purchasing & confused about the sizing: order your usual doc size, the M stands for medium fit, NOT mens sizes! i don’t know why it says all the stuff about it being a mens shoe since it’s unisex, i’d recommend the seller to change that because it is a bit deceiving :0 haven’t taken a walk in the park with these babies yet, but oddly enough they seem even more comfortable than my stiff 1460’s were at first. also, the platform is no big deal, they’re still v comfortable & it’s not noticeable wearing them! not to mention, i love the extra 1 3/4 inch it gives me…. i am so Powerful……… do urself a favor n cop a pair! so so so pretty & worth the price <3

So everybody I need to take a second and write this review because I love these boots but I was very skeptical and nervous after reading many of the reviews * it was very confusing because some people would say that you have to size up and other people would say you have to size down it was very confusing but I felt I knew what I was doing and I went with my gut instinct I decided to go one size down from what I usually buy from u.s. shoes I'm usually an 8 in every shoe I wear from the US but with this shoe I ordered a size 7 I thought that. Would be the best thing to do well I was right everybody I made a good decision they fit perfectly I tried them on with a normal sock and they fit it excellent I would say the best thing to do is go down one size if you want them to fit tight and not loose I don't really like loose boots because they're hard to walk in I wanted boots that fit perfect I want to boots that felt comfortable and these were great one size down from what I normally wear I chose a seven
