Dr. Brown's Level T Narrow Nipple offers the ideal flow rate for some newborns, breastfed babies and babies who need a slower flow nipple. Faster than our Preemie Flow Nipple but slower than our Level 1 Nipple, brand-new and developing babies may find their happy middle ground with Level T Narrow Nipples. The Level T Nipple offers a more gradual transition for breastfed babies who have graduated from Preemie Flow but are not quite ready for Level 1. This nipple is also great for any baby who simply prefers a slower flow! Each Level T Nipple provides the same consistent flow rate, so both you and baby know what to expect. Together with the anti-colic internal vent system, the Level T Nipple provides a controlled flow so babies feed at their own pace. This vacuum-free feeding helps digestion for a good night's sleep. Dr. Brown's bottles are proven to help preserve bottle milk nutrients and are known for reducing colic, spit-up, burping and gas.     • The "Missing Link" for Breastfed Babies – Way Better Value than Big Box Stores
If you are a breastfeeding parent using Dr. Brown’s bottles, do yourself a favor and skip the "Level 1" nipples that come with the bottles. We found that the Level 1 flow was actually way too fast for our newborn, leading to gasping and "lazy" feeding habits. These "T" (Transition) nipples are the perfect solution. Why I think these are a must-have: Preserves Breastfeeding: Because the flow is slightly slower than Level 1, it requires the baby to actively suck and stay in control of the pace. This helps prevent "flow preference" where the baby starts rejecting the breast in favor of the easier bottle. Better Value: I checked several local "big box" stores and this 6-pack is significantly cheaper than buying them in-store. It’s a great way to stock up without overpaying. These are a must have. After a conversation with a lactation consultant we discovered that this should be used with all newborn babies. Having a smaller hole allows for the baby to work harder to get their milk and mimics if they were feeding from the breast naturally. This is very helpful when you are bouncing between breast feeding and bottle feeding. Our child is now 4 months old and still using this tip to avoid tummy upset and it works well. These are great nipples, in the NICU the speech therapists use these for babies and they are so helpful. The preemie nipple was too slow and the level 1 was too fast for my girl and she was either angry or choking from air intake and fast flow. When my baby came home from the hospital the size 1 nipples were to days of a flow but the premie nipple was to slow and it would take him forever to drink a bottle.
