Faster than our Preemie Flow™ Nipple but slower than our Level 1 Nipple, brand-new and developing babies may find their happy middle ground with Level T Narrow Nipples. The Level T Nipple offers a more gradual transition for breastfed babies who have graduated from Preemie Flow but are not quite ready for Level 1. This nipple is also great for any baby who simply prefers a slower flow! Each Level T Nipple provides the same consistent flow rate, so both you and baby know what to expect. Together with the anti-colic internal vent system, the Level T Nipple provides a controlled flow so babies feed at their own pace. This vacuum-free feeding helps digestion for a good night’s sleep. Dr. Brown’s bottles are proven to help preserve bottle milk nutrients and are known for reducing colic, spit-up, burping and gas. Once my baby developed a strong sucking reflex, the preemie nipples were too slow and she would get frustrated during feedings. I then tried the stage 1 nipples but the flow of those, was too fast and she would seem to start choking on the milk. I heard about these Transition nipples by Dr. Brown and they are perfect! Seems to provide just the right flow for my baby who is currently 18 weeks actual and 12 weeks adjusted. Package came with 6 transition nipples. I use the Dr. Brown's bottles so I do not know whether or not these nipples will fit other brands of bottles. ... show more

These nipples are amazing! My baby couldn’t handle a fast flowing bottle nipple due to significant reflux. He was outgrowing the preemie nipple, but struggling to keep up with a level 1. These transition nipples have an in between flow. He used them until he was almost 4 months old and was able to pace himself really well when eating. The nipple does occasionally collapse when using it and I would have to take it out of my baby’s mouth to allow it to open back up. My baby has a really strong suck so that may be why it sometimes happened. Even so, we loved these nipples and I highly recommend them ... show more

    • I never realize babies needed to change nipples
So apparently babies go from easy flow, to a size one and Dr., Brown nipples. My friend has a preemie, so we are trying different nipples to see what works for her. I bought this set to try these out. They’re great nipples. Very happy with my purchase, in fact, I purchased another set different size

The preemie nipple was to slow and the 2 was too fast. This is ideal for your newborn. I would not use any other bottle than Dr. Browns.
