These are a great buy for any parent! They are a bit of work to clean with the inner part but the set came with two tiny brushes to clean the bottles which was very welcomed! I'm not sure what the issue was but on a few occasions after putting in the formula and water, closing and shaking the bottle to mix it did leak out a few times (preparing 6oz) but it was random and didn't happen each time so not sure why. Only other con ...its a bit too tall for my bottle warmer (grownsy gifted through azmazon). It warms but it takes a bit longer. Overall though both baby and mommy love the bottles and it did seem to decrease the spit-up amount post feed!

These were my go-to bottles for both of my children. My son was born prematurely, and I was worried about whether he would have trouble transitioning to a bottle when I went back to work. These bottles were a lifesaver—he took to them with no issues at all. I love the internal vent system, which keeps the flow nice and steady, and they are easy for little hands to hold. Dr. Brown’s really is the best brand out there!

these things definitely leak sometimes, i notice with these blue ones more often than the green ones. however, once i get it to not leak lol, they are perfect for my son! he hardly gets any gas anymore from swallowing a bunch of air, and he is a happy baby after feedings now! get them!

Great bottles for gassy baby. My baby spits up a lot so we had to add oatmeal to his bottles and with a bigger size nipple these bottles allow the thicker milk to pass through. Bottles do leak if laid on side or upside down with milk at the rim but we just keep the bottles in upright position. Have used dr brown bottles with 3 different children

Pros: - the vent system helps reduce the amount of air that the baby takes in, which in turns reduces gas - doesn't leak if you mind the fill line Cons: - so many parts to clean - top heavy; easy to tump over - 4 oz bottles would be better if they allowed up to 5 oz; we feed our little guy 4 oz per serving but we got the 8 oz bottles anyway and they feel pretty huge (but I didn't want to risk accidental leakage) Overall, these have helped us a lot. We really have noticed that our baby takes in less air which means less gas, which means less fussiness. I'll gladly clean a million parts if it means a happier baby :)

The Dr. Browns bottles are decent bottles. I have noticed that you have to hold the bottle at a 45° angle and not fill above the top line in order to prevent leakage, which is similar to most bottles I have used. We we formula feeding our son due to complications on my end so we had to boil water for his formula according to pediatrician's orders. The bottles WILL leak if you put hot water in them and try to shake them to mix the formula, so it is best to stir the formula in the bottles. I would also like to point out that the same thing happened with our Medela and Spectra bottles, so it does not seem unusual to Dr. Browns bottles. While these bottles do not prevent our son from being gassy or colicky, they do seem to help him burp faster, if that makes any sense. There are 6 parts that need to be washed, and some parts, unless you have a dishwasher, would seem cleaner if you wash and sanitize due to hard to clean spots on the pieces (mostly the rubber part that goes on top of the straw). Despite all the technicalities, my son seems to like the bottles and he does burp sooner rather than later when using them.

Last bottle we tried out of five to help my 3 month old daughter with her gas. Its a great bottle and I don't mind all the parts to it. After each use I disassemble the bottle and soak it in warm soapy water and then wash it all at night. Pros: 1) Clearly no bubbles that go into the formula. 2 ) The bottle is also made of very good and heavy plastic and not as heavy as the glass. 3) Great nipples (super soft) and no dribbles on the side of her mouth (virtually dry bib after feeding) 4) Nipple fits my gerber/even flow bottles so when she passes her gassy phase I can use my gerber tops with this bottle. (Less to clean I suppose) 5) Dr. Brown travel lid will fit all small neck bottles as well. Cons:1) Ironically, its hard to fit the Dr. Brown brush into it because of its a smaller neck bottle. 2) Formula is hard to get into it, especially in the early morning hrs. 3) hard to find a dry rack for all the little parts (i used dishwasher baskets on a regular dish drying tray) For us it didn't stop the gas but I don't think that is the bottle's fault. So many factors go into a baby having gas (her premature stomach, diet/formula, bottles, etc.) I just really like this bottle after all that we tried. To be honest, I don't think a bottle alone is the miracle cure for gas, but as a parent I am sure you'd try anything if you thought it would help your little one feel better.

I bought these because I read the reviews and how it helped a lot of babies with reflux. My baby is 2 months old and after using these plus newborn nipples, his reflux has gotten better. It hasn’t gone away completely but it’s helping. Per doctors orders I have to boil the water and then add the formula and at first the milk would go everywhere and leak! It was so annoying because of the waste and it’s sticky. Anyways the trick to preventing that is using the white circle it Comes with. I suppose it’s called milk stopper or something, I’m not sure, but I put it on and the cap and shake and no leaks! I wondered why it came with them! I hope this helps because these bottles are awesome and I wouldn’t want anyone to not buy them or throw them away because of that... Baby really likes them and he’ll be able to grow with them, it’s 8OZ so all I have to do is buy new nipples once he’s ready.
