For some reason, most eco-boxes have disappeared. Buying big heavy thick plastic bottles over and over is crazy! There's an island of plastic in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I wouldn't be surprised if it mostly detergent and laundry product bottles. I gave these a try! You don't have to, but I emptied them into an old Downy bottle with the spout on the side. Nothing goes to waste here so I even cut open the "empty" bags and tossed them into the rinse water and it worked perfectly! Clothes come out soft and smell great! Good value to buy refills instead of another bottle to go in our landfills. The smell is nice but I have noticed that it doesn’t last. I was hoping that the freshness would stick around and whenever we go to wear our clothes they would smell just washed but that doesn’t happen with this fabric softener. Been using downy April fresh for most of the 60 years of my life. While I have allergies/sensitive skin, this doesn’t typically bother me. The formula has changed over the years and have had to switch to downy free at times, but missed the fresh scent. now with my new washer that dispenses more evenly.
