I am a huge sucker for our clothing to smell fresh. We have tried so many different fabric softeners and many of them smell good but the smell does not always last throughout the day. Trust me when I tell you, this fabric softener is amazing. Right out of the bottle, when you open the cap, you know that you love the smell so much. I put a cap full in on the final rinse cycle and then once the washing machine is done and I open up the machine, you can smell the fabric softener and it is just wonderful. A lot of our clothing we hang dry, but even if we have to dry our clothes in the dryer, you still smell this fabric softener on the clothes. It is one of my most favorite scents so far. There are five of us in the home and no one has noticed any type of skin reactions to this so I would say that it is very gentle on the skin. I love the large bottle that you get, it lasts so long. I really love the scent of Downy Gentle Soft + Fresh. It smells so clean and fresh without being overpowering, and my clothes come out of the wash smelling really good. As far as softness goes, I am not totally sure it makes a huge difference. My clothes feel fine, but I cannot say I noticed a dramatic change in softness compared to washing without it. I’ve been loving Downy Gentle Soft + Fresh! The Cherry Blossom scent is light and clean — not too strong — and it leaves my clothes feeling super soft. It’s gentle on my skin, lasts for 138 loads, and keeps every wash smelling fresh. Definitely my new favorite fabric softener!
