I searched through hundreds of down alternative comforters on Amazon and couldn’t find a king sized one for under $50 that didn’t feel like cheap, pilly microfiber. Until i found this one! The outside is soft, but hasn’t pilled up after being sat on/slept under for a month. The soybean fiber fill is fluffy and cushiony but doesn’t feel like the stereotypical foam fiber batting that comes in most comforters in this size range. The inside feels much closer to the smoother, silkier texture of down filling. The ivory/off-white color of the soybean fiber comforter in particular is beautiful—i don’t even have a duvet cover on it and our bedroom is giving resort vibes. My fiance and I usually sleep under two separate blankets because I like a heavy blanket and he’s a sweaty sleeper, but after buying this one we both sleep comfortably every night! I was shocked when my fiance said he actually loved our new comforter because it keeps him cool at night. I even stopped sleeping with my weighted blanket. I bought this temporarily for a guest bed and it was a perfect very light weight, flexible and soft blanket. I am going to put it into the ikea duvet cover of my own bed so the jury is still out on how it will fit into that. If you're looking for a winter warm quilt I don't know if this is the one for you, but I don't like heavy layers so it works for me. ... show more

Beautiful colors! I was afraid the orange would be too much but it isn’t. So cozy. I’ve had a lot of blankets that need layering but this one I’m fine with just the one. Washes well, although I overloaded by washer and it did get a tear which has not been a huge problem with continuing to use it.

Looks good, plenty of width so it covers oversized mattresses, and the material isn't flimsy like so many cheap products. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Not enough weight to use alone in winter, but team with a blanket and it's great.

    • Nice but no corner tabs and low quality control
When I was reviewing this item I didn't see in the description any mention of corner tabs which are pretty much standard on duvets these days. So I went to the Q&A section to see if the seller had answered any questions about it. Although some buyers said it did not I decided to trust the seller's response which was this: "yes, all of our comforter has corner tabs. don't worry." Since the seller said ALL I assumed that my purchase, which was the white palatial king would have corner tabs to securely tie the duvet to my duvet cover. However it does not have any tabs. I figured that since some people said there was tabs and some said there wasn't it was because the seller had updated the manufacturing of the product. However I now know it's probably due to a quality control issue. So if you need corner tabs you might want to look elsewhere because you won't be able to rely on these having any even though the seller says there is in the Q&A section. All of that being said, it's a nice light comforter for our summer months in the upper midwest. I tend to sleep a little hot and this isn't bad. I like the light loft it has. So I'm keeping it because it's hard to find palatial king at an affordable price. I'm using safety pins to secure it to my duvet. ... show more
