Description

Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant is a one-component sealant/adhesive that cures at room temperature when exposed to the moisture in the air. When undergoing the acetoxy cure system, the product transforms from a non-sag paste to a tough and flexible rubber that adheres to many substrates. Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant is stable and flexible from -60°C to +180°C (-76°F to +356°F), with short peaks up to +205°C (401°F). Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant has excellent dielectric properties. The product complies with MIL-A-46106 and FDA 177.2600. After 24 hours (at room temperature and 50% relative humidity) Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant will have a cure depth of about 3 mm. Limited atmospheric moisture and lower humidity levels will extend cure time. When stored at 32°C (90°F) the product's shelf life is 900 days from the date of its manufacture.

  • Excellent to adhere to glass for a GE Double Oven glass door
Color: Clear
I used this to replace the glass on my GE Profile double oven door. GE wanted $800 for the door and I only needed the glass. They don't sell the glass alone for they said it's bonded. I went and ordered an Amana/whirlpool glass 25x17 and used this sealant on the door. It adhered seamlessly and I used it at the bottom as well. I saw this product on YouTube on how to replace the glass but it wasn't for this door. I decided to take the door off to see if I could just replace the glass alone and which you can. The entire repair cost $88 including the cost of the DOW sealant. I highly recommend using this product especially for replacing the glass on an oven door. ... show more

  • Best adhesive for me.
Color: Clear
Excellent product. It is a very good adhesive. It glues the different surfaces: metals and plastic and wood and plastic and so on.

  • you know you got the good stuff! The cap (for reuse) actually works well
Color: Clear
While curing, the silicone adhesive gives off acetic acid vapor; you know you got the good stuff! The cap (for reuse) actually works well. My previous batch expired 11/2013 but the stuff was like new. There is a huge difference in how hard you have to squeeze, if the tube is cold versus warm. One example of use: I was rear-ended and the trunk lid and the mating body was bent so there were big gaps. If I drove the car with the driver window down (fresh-air vent off) the venturi effect of the wind passing by my opened window draws air out and is supplied from the leaking trunk thru the back seat along with exhaust fumes. I removed the back seat, shut the trunk, climbed in pushed the rubber gasket out to properly mate with the trunk-lid then used Dow Corning 732 to adhere it in place... even fill the big gaps with this great stuff. No more exhaust floating past my nose out the window. ... show more

  • The original and still the best
Color: Clear
This is the original formulation of RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing). I used it first in the 1970s to mount marine radio equipment to any type of surface and to seal penetrations in hulls of vessels exposed to high humidity and salt water. It lasts forever and will not get hard and crack - years later it will still have a rubbery consistency. It has a very strong adhesive bond and allows you plenty of time to work with it before forming a skin. The problem with too many 'silicone' caulks and products is they begin to harden almost instantly and the finished product does not look good unless you are a professional who caulks for a living. ... show more

  • Excellent product
Color: Clear
I used this in my shower and it’s holding up perfectly. It has a pretty strong smell when you first apply it but once it dries the smell goes away completely. Dried well in <24 hours. The last caulk I tried shriveled you after a few weeks but this is holding up great

  • Seal Hot Tub Fixtures
Color: Clear
Out hot tub sprung a leak in one of the flexible lines. Had the replacement line and tools to do the job but the section was so short I couldn't do it without removing the complete skimmer-basket assembly. We were concerned that sealing this so it wouldn't leak would be a problem but liberal application of this sealer did the job. ... show more

  • Excellant stuff.
Color: Clear
Don't buy the cheap stuff from the big box stores. As far as I'm concerned it junk. This is well worth the price. Basically it is resealable and can be used for a long time. If it clogs you should be able to unscrew the tip, clean it out and your good to go.
