As described, it's sturdy and Steve's as very good protection for the net and good targeting for the batting and pitching. It was too heavy when we tied to hang it from only the net and the batting cage pole fractured. It was fine when hung directly from poles. When done so, would recommend this product.

This batting cage backstop has proven to be even better than the ones that are two hundred dollars more. I say this as a coach that runs a training facility and is alright spending thousands of dollars for the best equipment and facility. When we pull out the net cages in the gym, or set up cages outdoors, these backstops work best because they are not heavy where they pull the nets down, and do not require constant adjustments to the strike zone. We can leave these backstops installed while moving, setting up, or storing cage nets. Most important they are extremely effective at absorbing the impact from training by high school, college and minor league players. These backstops address our safety concerns with parents and distracted teenagers that stand/walk too close to the nets. They’re also safer for the hitters because the impact absorption prevents bounce back from chain link fence caging. The thing that made the procuring of these backstops exceed our expectations was the seller. The first time we reached out to Doubleriver they responded to us personally right away. They have taken extra time and effort to solve our specific needs, and delivered quickly. In summary, the backstops are terrific and every buying experience has been terrific! (And no, I have no relation to Doubleriver.)

This batting backstop exceeded my expectations in both size and quality. Nice thick material with built in grommets also comes with 8 bungees so that you can attach it very easily. This is way better quality than some of the more expensive ones out there. This has saved me so much time having to go chase balls when practicing with the little ones. Great product!

Why mess around with owning a quality backstop net and insisting it make do on a make-shift frame or fence. Seeing this net comes with a cage by the same manufacturer is what made the decision to get it. Having both creates a professional environment for serious batting practice for any age player. The net and frame are heavy-duty construction, ample size and fully absorbs the impact dulling any rebound. It creates a safe, fun, non-stop practice of what you are there to do - batting practice. Now that we own the frame and net, I am getting a second net for having on hand for the far future. Setting this up in your yard will act like a magnet drawing every kid - and bat swinging parents - to make a habit of visiting, so leave your gate open!
