It wants to do more but the clamp is just too narrow to be sturdy. You set it and it might move in you. Especially if someone bumps the table. Also have to be creative with the string to tie the net back. Will get the more expensive one next time.

Let me start with - overall it works well enough for what we wanted it for. We are not super serious about ping pong, just enjoy playing with our kids for fun. We do not have a regulation sized table and we’re looking for something to work with our kitchen table that is roughly 4’x8’. Our table is 1.5” thick and the listing states that it fits up to 1.5” thick, however, that is definitely not the case. I would stick with 1” and below, thickness wiser. The squeeze lever of this is impressively hard - but almost too much so. Once on the table, because of the silicone, it stays on very nicely. The silicone did leave black marks on our table from me trying to get it to fit. It did not as I stated above. I ended up finding a 1” thick piece of wood and used that as shown in the picture. Again - that worked well enough for us and our need of it. The netting is best used for a table wide enough. Ours isn’t as wide as a normal ping pong table so instead I made it work by wrapping on end of the net around the pole. This made it sag a little. Next - the pole that the net attaches to moves up and down the slightest amount to unlock and lock it in place. This took me longer than I’d like to admit to figure out and caused issues with me closing it. So take note that it moves up and down to lock it. Pull up to unlock it when trying to close it to store. Lastly the listing shows a bag that stores the netting. This is not what was in my box. It was just the netting rolled up and the 2 pieces for the table. It does not fit easily back in the box it came with so it would be nice if there was a travel case with it. ... show more

You love ping pong, but you don't want or don't have room for a full-sized regulation ping pong table. What do you do? You can get this temporary net and transform a table into a ping pong table, easily. The clamps do not work on tables that are too thick, so read the description and make sure it will work on your table before ordering. Once you have done that, order and enjoy. I have a large wooden table that has a thick top. Most post sets have a hard time latching on. This set easily accommodate my thick table. The product came with no instruction which I normally will take a star off. But everything was easy to put together and figure out. So no penalty. The quality feels nice. The twist knobs, posts, slots, and clamps felt good in the hand. The net seems iffy...that is not of the same premium quality as the other components. The circular area of the clamp is fairly large. Depending on your table, make sure you have 2 inch or more of a lip for it to screw on. Overall, as good post set to have. Please note that this review for the SCREW clamp version. This set up quickly to replace a post that had failed on us. Unboxing was simple and set up a breeze. Before buying do take a look at your table thickness and if there's any sort of a lip there that may impact tightening the screw caps in well. Net has good structure and remains taunt during gameplay, posts are sturdy and didn't come loose at all. This was super easy to set up and take down. The net is made of good material and the clamps were good too. Be mindful that they don’t open quit as much as you’d think so thicker tables or ones with a shirt lip might be harder to attach to. One it was on we were able to play with no problem.
