I bought This for my grandson and it took him a little bit hes autistic And still doesn't stir it very well but he runs all over the yard with this thing up-and-down the sidewalks and hes getting better with it but he could run this stupid thing in the concrete at full blouse then it survives it seems to be pretty well made and and it makes him happy so I'm pretty happy with it. The only downfall is and fall is there is a screwdriver on the inside of the package very small in the charger charger it with a charger get that screwdriver out because they stuck this truck on cardboard and screw it to cardboard and I'm blind you see so I couldn't see it was a screw it kind of looked like a screw but I wasn't sure. So I went through misery getting this thing off the cardboard with a pair of scissorsDon't make my mistake get that screwdriver and your glasses and unscrew it it will be way faster than trying to remove the truck with a tool let me tell you it's a pain in the butt to do it that way. And maybe if there are instructions on the Box of course we all know men don't read instructions and that's true we already know how to do I would do it. But if I were to read the instructions I bet it would have told me to get the screwdriver out of the bag and unscrew it cause they put that thing on there good otherwise this is an absolutely great product I would say it's built pretty well and my grandson loves it hes didn't destroy it it's been almost a week and a 1/2 and it just needs to be charged again the charge seems the last a pretty long time he he gets bored with stuff pretty quick So he'll run around for all 20 minutes or so then get bored put it away and shut it all off. But for small children It seems to be pretty good I have fun with it myself self in the dirt you can spin the tires and it looks like it's kicking up dirt it is ... show more

This is the second DOUBLE E radio controlled truck we've purchased for our kids age 10 and under. This one is fun because it has a cool paint scheme on the plastic body that is based on the Ford F-150 Raptor. It looks outstanding and our kids love the green and blue. The overall top speed is fast, however this truck hesitates a bit when beginning to accelerate from a full stop. It lags quite noticeably, which makes it a little tricky to get the hang of driving it at first. It also seems to slow down a lot when the steering is activated in turns. From max acceleration, though, you can get it to drift a bit in a sudden swerve, which adds to the fun factor. On the downside, the plastic clip-on body seems to be somewhat brittle, as we broke some pieces off of it when we bumped into a raised area of the sidewalk. We were able to repair it with some tape on the inside of the body, but it was a little disappointing it cracked on the first day. The pavement and sidewalk are where this R/C car shines, especially with the spring loaded suspension, it can land some small jumps deftly. The rubber treaded tires help with finding its footing, too. Unfortunately, the plastic body interferes with the rear suspension action at the rear axle. However, in the grass, it has a difficult time finding traction. We found the range of the radio controller to be so/so. It would lose the connection at about 100 feet away, but for closer play, it was totally fine. Additionally, the battery pack seems to charge fairly fast, offering the chance for multiple play sessions in a day. If you buy this truck, you will have a lot of fun with it despite a few small downsides. 4 stars! ... show more

My son has been into construction vehicles since he was 3 or 4, he just absolutely loves them, we've had all sorts of dump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, you name it, we've had it. He's 8 now and is getting into remote control cars and we've tried a few brands with mixed reviews, but this... oh my, this exceeded my expectations. First of all, the pure size of this thing is amazing. It is over 3 feet long, it does take up space, but it makes it a TON of fun, he has done nothing but learn how to work it the first day he had it. From learning how to get it to hitch the trailer, to lowering the gate, he figured it all out on his own. He did have to wait a good 6-7 hours to let the battery fully charge up, but honestly, it was worth it. Since the initial unpacking, he has found cars, other toys that he makes up reasons to drive them around. This thing performs exceptionally on hard-wood/vinyl/laminate flooring and does great on thick plushy carpet (I'm talking 3/4 in thick carpet). It has two speeds, Fast and Faster. Fast is probably what you want on smooth surfaces, and faster is indeed what you need on thick plushy carpet. Did I mention he saved up his allowance money for this? Oh yeah, after we did our research and we looked at various products, we set a goal and he saved for WEEKS! Let me tell you, two weeks before we bought it, we thought he finally had enough money only to realize the sale price was over, he was heartbroken he had to wait another 2 weeks. However, 2 weeks later, we got one that seemed to be returned but unopened (as it was discounted), but let me tell you, there was NOTHING wrong with it and the fact he got it and saved some money has made his extremely happy! For what you get out of this box and the pure enjoyment your child will have over the time they own it and use it, it is worth every penny. It is solid, well built, easy to charge the batteries, and just functions well. Its remote is responsive, the wires are neatly tucked and super glued to keep them out of the way, just overall, this product was well thought out. I'll be investing into more Double E products purely from the experience I've had and seen my son have on this one. We can't wait to add more remote control construction toys to our toy boxes. ... show more

Much smaller than I expected. But this little guy is very fast. I did not expect that and neither did my 9 year old grandson. Lol. It went through grass and hills very well. Seems well built. I don't recommend for beginners unless you have allot of open space to drive it. Turning radiious very wide but with the speed, it might just spin out if it turned sharp. ... show more
