  • Simple and Easy to Install
This is the easiest fix for my car so far. At one point, the brake lights were permanently on; one minute later, they were back to normal. The tab that fits into the hole on your brake pedal assembly is soft enough to be pushed into position but stiff enough to stay permanently. Delivery time was quick, and it was very easy to find the item on the Amazon site. ... show more

  • Worked perfect
This was easy to install and it fit just as described. It solved the problem of my lights staying on. Quick and easy fix with a good quality product

  • Quality, inexpensive replacement for original
It’s bizarre that this part is even needed, since its sole purpose is to provide a place on the brake pedal arm for the brake light switch to push against, something the brake arm itself could have handily done until eternity. But some engineer felt it was necessary so here we are. The OEM version of this part costs 3-4x as much, and let’s be honest here—this is not much more than a glorified thumbtack. There’s not much that it could possibly do poorly, aside from crumble into little pieces prematurely, so this is a good deal for what it is. Installation is easy, and chances are that if you need this part you have a car that’s already several years old, so even if this lasts half as long as the original it may still outlive the car itself. I installed this on a 2001 Honda Civic, after my mother-in-law said her battery had died mysteriously overnight. Turns out the original part shattered into pieces, leaving the brake light switch nothing to push against, so the brake lights drained her battery. Brilliant engineering! Anyway, I was able to easily install the new part in about ten minutes’ time, and she has had no more trouble with the lights for several months now. ... show more

  • Super easy to replace!
My tail lights on my 98 Honda Civic were not shutting off after turning off the car. The culprit was this part that had become brittle, cracked and fell off. (I actually taped a penny to my brake arm until I received this part.) When the brake is not pressed, it rests on this small piece of rubber that keeps the tail lights from staying on. ... show more
