  • Good replacement part
Fit my car perfectly. Easy DIY switchout. Pretty straight forward. Has worked without any problems.

  • no start engine turns over please read
So my 2009 f150 would turn over but not start, automatically my first thought was the fuel pump. This is NOT always true. Start with the relay under the hood and check that. then go to the fuel fail and there is a Schrader valve on the drivers side on the top of the motor . Press it down to set if its under pressure. Please note THERE IS NOT A INLINE FEUL FILTER ON THE TRUCK, it is inside tank with the pump so that takes out the filter. What I did not know there is a fuel pump drive relay module under the truck above the spare tire. check this first before you think its a fuel pump. It is almost always that this goes first. Its a easy repair Don't make the mistake I did and go for the pump first!! That part worked great truck started right up. be sure you clear the codes on your truck then start it up . If no luck then consider the pump. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Made my vacation visitation a success 838 miles from home
I'm a mechanic and I have an 09 f150 xlt 4.6L with 216k miles on. I travelled thru 3 states to Minnesota for a visit and after arriving, my truck will only crank almost continuously but won't start. After a good # of trials, it started and there off consistent a few times. I took it to the store the say after the incident and after shopping, same thing happened at the parking lot. I checked relays and fuses( fuel pump, ignition) all was good. I thumped on the fuel tank and it started at trial after that. I knew it had a FPDM. I inspected noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Starting was still intermittent. I orederd this FPDM and has it delivered at my visitation address and I replaced the module. I didn't need to drop the spare tire. From LR tire well, I could see it but couldn't reach it. In my case, it's held by 2 10m bolts on the chasis cross member. Pushed tab a released electrical plug. Since after replacement, I used my truck as usual and travelled back from MN to OKC stopping 5 times on my way and never had any slight hesitation in starting. So my take is, if your problem is this part, then it'll work. Make sure you don't have a bad relay or fuse. Not having adequate tools, I had to go with my mechanical intuition to replace a less involving part. A bad fuel pump would've been a shop's job since I had a full tank and almost not tools. ... show more

  • Perfect fit replacement for a 2015 Ford Taurus.
When the check engine light came on on my Taurus and I ran the code and found out what the problem was. This was one of the possible problems. The other possible problems was the throttlebody. I replaced both parts because the throttlebody had about 140,000 miles on it and looked like it needed to be cleaned or replaced. Instead of trying to clean it and then having to go back and clean it again or replace it later I just replaced it to save the hassle. The fuel pump relay was stupid simple to replace as it mounts behind the right hand side rear seat. If you fold the seat back down and pull back the insulation that leads into the trunk. It’s right there. It takes a small socket and about five minutes to replace. ... show more

  • Fixed my 2014 Ford Flex not starting issue
Was driving my 2014 Ford Flex all day with no issues. Son calls me to pick him up from work. Go out to the Flex and it will not start. Engine would turn over but acted like it was not getting any gas. As it was the first day of really cold weather and 10 inches of snow, I was worried I had frozen water in my fuel line. I let the car sit and warm up the next day and still would not start. Was about to get the car towed when I decided to do some research and discovered there was a recall on Ford Flex's with the Ecoboost engine for the Fuel Pump Relay, but not for those with the non-Ecoboost engine. Did a little more research and found that they basically use the same fuel relay module. Not sure why they only did the recall on the Ecoboost engine and not all of them. Found a youtube video that explains how to swap it out. Literally takes 10 minutes to do and it is easily accessible from inside the car on the passenger side b-column next to the seatbelt harness. Anyways decided taking a shot on replacing the module was the cheapest possible option with a likely outcome of it working. Could only find one locally in stock at Autozone and they wanted $85.00. (It is only $70 at the dealership). Found the same brand one they used in the youtube video here on Amazon for $40, delivered the next day. Got it today, replaced the module and the car fired right up. Saved a ton of money versus tow and mechanic to fix. Sometimes it just takes a little research. This appears to be a fairly common issue. ... show more

  • Fixed my 2014 Taurus
Fixed my 2014 Taurus that quit starting, but still turned over. Just open the passenger back seat, remove two screws and wiring harness connection. Hint, small screwdriver helps to remove the harness connector...hardest part of replacement. Connect the new part, fasten the two screws and you are good to go. Saved $$$ over cost of replacing at mechanics shop. ... show more
