I bought these because they looked nicer than others, and I liked the tulle overlay. I’m happy with the way they look. The inside looks like satin which is a nice touch. They come with two ropes and plastic hooks. It is impossible to hang the rope around the bedframe while keeping it tight with the heavy curtain on it. The curtain droops some. To keep it more level and since the hooks look cheap, we threaded it through the holes around the bed poles. It did keep it more level and drooped less, but the curtain can no longer open all the way around the bed. My daughter and I thought that was better than having the curtain droop and letting extra light in. They are definitely not blackout and will not close all the way. There is also not a good way to tie the ends of the rope where the curtains meet to close. I ended up looping over the frame and tied it around a slat underneath to hide the rope end and to try and keep the curtain sitting higher. In order to have the curtains close without light coming in, obviously they need to overlap a little. In order to do that, we needed to pull the curtain halfway around the head of the bed. The bed sits on a wall so again, we thought we’d rather have the curtains meet and close than have it go all the way around the head of the bedframe. They really just needed to be longer with more fabric to fit all the way around the bed frame. The fabric is also starting to pull away from the hole just from us hanging them. I expect it to rip more with use since it’s the hole right where the curtains will be closing. Overall, they are probably comparable with other similar curtains. If having them look homemade is going to bother you, these aren’t for you. My daughter is happy with them so we’ll keep them, but I wish they weren’t double the price of other ones I saw. They weren’t THAT much better in my opinion, even though I like the tulle overlay.

Bought this for my daughter’s dorm this fall. Pulled it out of the package and played around with it draping it over the shower rod. Here are my take aways: 1. It’s actually better quality than I expected from the pics! 2. As others have commented, it’s not a complete black out for light, but definitely does block out some light and darken. 3. I think a solar quality black out curtain encasing a bed would get too hot. 4. The inside is silky smooth and nice quality to wake up to. 5. The rope and hooks provided are kind of annoying, but would do the job. I’m ordering heavy duty, high weight capacity magnetic hooks to simplify hanging since she will have a metal framed bed. With the magnetic hooks the panels won’t slide, but we will get magnetic curtain tie back for times she wants it open. 6. If you don’t have a bunk above you like us, you would want to purchase one of the frames to make this work. Overall take away: it’s a good product, better quality than I anticipated, and will serve it’s job as a privacy curtain.

Yes, string. Singular. It spans the length of my daughter's twin bunk beds. It does come with clips, but they're plastic and do break. Her younger sister moved the curtain and snapped a clip. Also, we were only able to utilize one of the panels as the string wasn't long enough to go around the whole of the bed like photos show.

It was too long and dragging on the floor (we don't have carpet) so it just dusting over the debris. I didn't like the way the rope just ties to the bed. I couldn't get it to tie behind the ladder and felt like it was hazard in front of the ladder. The rings couldn't slide because it was tied to the bed.
